Akira Seiki

Akira Seiki is a Taiwanese machine tool builder based in Taichung; its site says the company was founded in 1985 and set up its production factory in Taiwan in 2005. It builds vertical machining centers (the JR/SR, V, HV and SV series), tapping and production machining centers (PC, RMV), horizontal machining centers, 5-axis machines and the SL series of CNC turning centers, most of them on its own AKIRA Mi845 control. The company states that it sells in over 60 countries.
