Akira Seiki H250RT — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Akira Seiki H250RT that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Akira Seiki or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

Akira Seiki describes the H250RT as a compact horizontal machine with a 250 mm table for four- and five-axis work. In place of the twin pallets of the H3XP it carries a ∅250 mm (∅9.8 in) rotary table that swings on B over -30°~ +120° and rotates 360° on C.

The idea is to finish a small part on all its faces in one clamping, on a horizontal spindle where chips fall clear. Y and Z travels are 400 mm (15.7 in) and 350 mm (13.8 in), and the spindle nose to table distance is 150~500 mm (5.91~19.69 in). The B axis indexes to 0.001°.

Three rows of the maker's table for this model are not shown on this page, because the metric and inch figures printed in them disagree: X travel, table load and tool weight. Confirm all three with Akira Seiki before planning a job around the machine.

The rest of the specification follows the H3XP. The BT40 spindle is belt driven, 12,000 rpm, 17.7 HP (13.2 kW) peak, with coolant through the spindle as standard. Rapids are 48 / 48 / 48 m/min (1,890 / 1,890 / 1,890 ipm), the magazine is 36T (60T optional) and the tool change is 1.6 s. The H250RT weighs 5,750 kg (12,677 lb) and measures 3,260 x 5,075 mm (128 x 199 in).

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • Tilting rotary table: B swing of -30°~ +120° and 360° on C
  • Horizontal spindle, so chips fall away from the part
  • 48 / 48 / 48 m/min (1,890 / 1,890 / 1,890 ipm) rapids, 1.6 s tool change
  • Coolant through the spindle as standard, 36T or optional 60T

Limitations

  • The table is only ∅250 mm (∅9.8 in)
  • No pallet changer, unlike the H3XP
  • X travel, table load and tool weight could not be taken from the maker's page
  • 17.7 HP (13.2 kW) peak spindle power

Best For

Small multi-face parts finished in one clamping Valve bodies, fittings and connector housings Five-sided machining with good chip evacuation Parts that fit a ∅250 mm (∅9.8 in) table

Frequently Asked Questions

01 Is the H250RT a five-axis machine?

It has three linear axes plus a table that swings on B over -30°~ +120° and rotates 360° on C. The maker calls it a 250 mm 4 / 5 axis machine; whether the axes interpolate simultaneously is not stated in the table.

02 What is the X travel of the H250RT?

It is not shown here. The maker prints a millimetre and an inch figure for X that do not match, so the row was left out. Y travel is 400 mm (15.7 in) and Z travel 350 mm (13.8 in).

03 How does the H250RT differ from the H3XP?

The H3XP has two 320 x 320 mm (12.6 x 12.6 in) pallets and an 8 s pallet change. The H250RT has a single tilting rotary table and no pallet changer. Spindle, rapids and magazine are common to both.

04 What spindle and tooling does the H250RT have?

A belt-type BT40 spindle at 12,000 rpm with 17.7 HP (13.2 kW) peak. The magazine holds 36T, or 60T as an option, with tools up to ∅65 mm (2.6 in) and 200 mm (7.87 in) long.
