AXA Entwicklungs- und Maschinenbau GmbH is a family-owned German builder of travelling column and gantry machining centres, with development, construction and production in its own factory in Schöppingen, Westphalia. Its range runs from the compact VCC and the two-station DBZ through the long-bed VSC and tilting-head VHC travelling column machines to the VPC, PFZ and UPFZ gantry machining centres. AXA says it makes core components such as main spindles, swivel heads, tool changers and rotary tables in-house and tailors machines to the customer's application.
