AXA VPC 50 power — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the AXA VPC 50 power that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from AXA or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

AXA lists the VPC 50 power as a separate column in its VPC data sheet, and nearly every row that differs points the same way: more cutting force. The spindle is drive no. 163 with 540 Nm and 56 kW at 40% DC. Feed force is 12,000 N (2,698 lbf). No alternative drive is offered, and a footnote says drive no. 163 is available only in combination with this model.

The frame is set up to match. The spindle nose comes down to 135 mm above the table, and T-slots are 18 mm wide with 22 mm as an option. Table load is 2,000 kg per table as standard. X travel is a single figure, 2,300 mm (90.6 in), with none of the longer options the other VPC models have. Y is 1,200 mm, optionally 1,400 mm or 1,600 mm, and Z is 500 mm or 600 mm.

Several options of the standard range are missing here. Rapids are 20/20/20 m/min with no faster setting listed. Positioning accuracy is ± 0.015 mm per 1,000 mm and repeating accuracy ± 0.01 mm, again without the finer optional grades. The magazine holds 20 tools and extends only to 60, and the single optional tool holder is HSK A100.

Read together, the figures describe a specialised roughing gantry for heavy plate. If the work is mixed, the VPC 50 with its 286 Nm drive, 90-pocket option and optional 30/30/25 m/min rapids is the more flexible machine.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What does "power" mean on the VPC 50 power?

It marks the heavy-cutting variant in AXA's VPC table. It is the only VPC model with drive no. 163, which delivers 540 Nm and 56 kW at 40% DC, and it has a feed force of 12,000 N. The speed range is 4,000 rpm, optionally up to 7,500 rpm.

02 What are the travels of the VPC 50 power?

X is 2,300 mm (90.6 in). Y is 1,200 mm (47.2 in), with 1,400 mm or 1,600 mm as optional features. Z is 500 mm (19.7 in), optionally 600 mm. The minimum distance between table and spindle nose is 135 mm.

03 How many tools does it hold, and which holders?

20 pockets as standard, optionally expandable up to 60. The taper is SK 50 to DIN 69871 A / DIN 69872 A, with HSK A100 as the only listed option. Tools can be 110 mm in diameter, or 180 mm with free adjacent pockets, and 400 mm long. Tool change takes approx. 7 s.

04 Is the VPC 50 power less accurate than the other VPC models?

Its standard figures are the same: ± 0.015 mm positioning accuracy per 1,000 mm and ± 0.01 mm repeating accuracy. What is missing are the optional grades. The VPC 50 can be ordered with ± 0.008 mm and ± 0.006 mm; the table shows no such option for the power variant.
