How much does the Feeler QMP-32 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Feeler QMP-32 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Feeler's QMP-32 keeps the fast X and Y axes of the QMP series but swaps the small-taper spindle for a 7/24 No.40 belt type spindle at 10,000 rpm. Travels are 820 mm (32.3 in) in X, 520 mm (20.5 in) in Y and 505 mm (19.9 in) in Z.
The heading of Feeler's QMP page puts the belt type spindle first, and for this model it is the defining choice. A belt drive lets the motor run through a reduction, which generally favours torque at lower speeds over top-end rpm. Combined with the No.40 taper and an 800 kg (1,764 lb) table of 950 x 520 mm (37.4 x 20.5 in), the QMP-32 is a production machine for real milling in steel and cast iron as well as aluminium, which the smaller QMP models are not.
It still moves quickly. X and Y rapid at 48 m/min (1,890 ipm); the VMP-32, with the same travels and spindle speed, lists 40 m/min. Z is 30 m/min (1,181 ipm). The magazine holds 24 tools, two more than the VMP-32.
Options described for the series apply here too. Feeler says a 20,000 rpm spindle can be fitted for small-diameter tools and high-speed cutting, and an ultrasonic cutting system for brittle or high-hardness materials. A pallet-changer variant is sold as the QMP-32APC. The table does not publish spindle power or torque, which is the gap to close before judging the belt spindle against the direct-drive VMX-820.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 48 m/min (1,890 ipm) X and Y rapids on a No.40 machine with an 800 kg table
- Belt type spindle at 10,000 rpm with a 7/24 No.40 taper
- 24-tool magazine, two more than the VMP-32 on the same frame size
- 950 x 520 mm table fully covered in Y by 520 mm of travel
- 20,000 rpm spindle and ultrasonic cutting offered as series options
Limitations
- Z rapid is 30 m/min (1,181 ipm), well below the X and Y rate
- Z travel of 505 mm (19.9 in)
- 10,000 rpm as standard; higher speed needs the optional spindle
- No spindle power or torque published

Travels, table, load, taper and the 10,000 rpm spindle speed match. The VMP-32 lists X and Y rapids of 40 m/min and 22 tools. The QMP-32 lists 48 m/min and 24 tools, and Feeler names a 20,000 rpm spindle and an ultrasonic system as QMP options.

The pallet version is a separate model, the QMP-32APC, with 700 x 500 mm pallets rated 200 kg. Feeler quotes pallet change times between 6 and 10 seconds for the series' APC system.
