How much does the Feeler VMP-23APC cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Feeler VMP-23APC that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Two pallets, 120 kg (265 lb) each: that is the working definition of the Feeler VMP-23APC. It is the VMP-23 with an automatic pallet changer in place of the fixed table, for shops that want the 10,000 rpm spindle cutting while the next part is being clamped.
Each pallet measures 580 x 410 mm (22.8 x 16.1 in). Travels are 580 mm (22.8 in) in X, 420 mm (16.5 in) in Y and 510 mm (20.1 in) in Z, so the cutting area covers the whole pallet. The limit is weight, not reach. With a fixture plate and clamps on board, what is left for the workpiece is modest, and the machine is best matched to small castings, forgings and cut blanks produced in volume.
The remaining figures are shared with the fixed-table model: a 7/24 No.40 taper, 18 tools, and 36 m/min (1,417 ipm) rapid traverse in X, Y and Z. Feeler attributes the quick Z axis of the VMP series to a higher-power motor with a balance-free design and a directly driven, preloaded ball screw.
Feeler's page for the series says nothing about the pallet changer itself: no exchange time, no pallet clamping details. For the equivalent VMX pallet machines the maker quotes exchange times, but that statement is not made for the VMP models, so ask for the figure. An 18-pocket magazine also has to hold every tool needed for both pallets, which rules out running two unrelated jobs side by side unless their tool lists overlap.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Automatic pallet changer keeps the spindle working during loading
- Travels of 580 x 420 mm cover the full 580 x 410 mm pallet
- 36 m/min (1,417 ipm) rapids on X, Y and Z
- 510 mm of Z travel is retained from the fixed-table VMP-23
Limitations
- Pallet load is 120 kg (265 lb) including fixture, against 300 kg on the VMP-23 table
- Only 18 tools to serve both pallets
- No pallet exchange time is published for the VMP pallet models
- 10,000 rpm spindle with no power or torque figure given

Frequently Asked Questions
01
580 x 410 mm (22.8 x 16.1 in), with a maximum loading weight of 120 kg (265 lb) in Feeler's table. The X and Y travels of 580 and 420 mm reach the entire pallet surface.
02
Travels, pallet size and the 120 kg rating match. The VMX-580APC lists a 12,000 rpm spindle, 48 m/min X and Y rapids and 20 tools. The VMP-23APC lists 10,000 rpm, 36 m/min on every axis and 18 tools.
03
Feeler does not publish a pallet change time for the VMP-23APC on its series page, and the spec table has no such row. Request it from the maker along with the pallet clamping method, because both affect how short a cycle is worth putting on the machine.
04
No. The VMP-23APC lists the same 580 x 420 x 510 mm travels as the VMP-23. The work surface is what shrinks, from the 650 x 420 mm table of the VMP-23 to a 580 x 410 mm pallet, and the load rating falls with it.
