How much does the Feeler FTC-430/L/XL cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Feeler FTC-430/L/XL that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
With a 10 in (254 mm) chuck and an A2-8 spindle nose, the Feeler FTC-430/L/XL is the mid-size two-axis lathe of the FTC/FTB series. Maximum turning diameter is ø430 mm (ø16.9 in) and the three bed lengths give 335 mm, 655 mm or 995 mm (39.2 in) of turning length.
The bore is the reason to choose it over the 8 in machines. A ø88 mm (ø3.5 in) through-spindle hole passes ø78 mm (ø3.1 in) bar, where the FTC-350/L/XL starts at ø52 mm. Three-inch bar is a common stock size for hydraulic and oilfield parts, and it will not go through the smaller spindle at all.
Top speed is 3,500 rpm. That is what the bigger spindle gives up: fine for mid-size steel work, slow for small parts in aluminium or brass. Z travel is 380, 700 or 1,040 mm, the same three strokes as the 350, and X is printed as 215+25 mm. An MT-4 tailstock is listed for all lengths.
The turret row reads 8(12): eight stations, with twelve in brackets as the alternative. No milling is listed in this column. The FTC-430MC/LMC/XLMC and FTC-430LY/XLY are the driven-tool versions on the same spindle.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
ø78 mm (ø3.1 in), through a spindle hole of ø88 mm (ø3.5 in). Only one figure is printed for each, with no larger bore in brackets as there is on the FTC-350 columns.
02
Three: standard, L and XL. They list 335/655/995 mm (13.2/25.8/39.2 in) of maximum turning length and 380/700/1,040 mm (15.0/27.6/40.9 in) of Z travel.
03
Both use a 10 in chuck, an A2-8 nose, ø78 mm bar capacity and 3,500 rpm. The FTC-450L/(MC) is a single-length machine with a ø450 mm turning diameter and 650 mm of turning length.
04
The table prints 8(12). Eight stations is the listed turret and twelve is the bracketed alternative. The interface is not named in this column, whereas the FTC-430MC/LMC/XLMC is given as 12-VDI 40.
