How much does the Feeler FTC-350/L/XL cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Feeler FTC-350/L/XL that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Three bed lengths share one column in Feeler's table for the FTC-350/L/XL, an 8 in (203 mm) chuck lathe with a ø350 mm (ø13.8 in) maximum turning diameter. Turning length is 340 mm on the standard bed, 660 mm on the L and 1,000 mm (39.4 in) on the XL. Z travel follows at 380, 700 and 1,040 mm.
This is the plain two-axis member of the FTC-350 family, the one with a tailstock (MT-4) and no driven tools, Y axis or second spindle. Feeler says the FTC-350 supports multiple lengths and modular options including sub-spindle and turning-milling integration; those options have columns of their own in the table, and each gives something up. The FTC-350MC/LMC/XLMC, for instance, drops to ø235 mm of turning diameter. Here the full ø350 mm is kept.
The spindle has an A2-6 nose and runs to 4,500 rpm. Its bore is printed as ø62 (ø76) mm and bar capacity as ø52/ø66 mm, which reads as a standard bore with a larger one in brackets and a bar size to go with each. Decide on the bore when ordering if bar above ø52 mm is planned.
Turret stations are listed as 8(12). An 8-station turret keeps tool swing clear on a small lathe; the 12-station alternative holds more tools between setups. X travel is given as 175+25 mm.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Three bed lengths: 340 mm, 660 mm or 1,000 mm (39.4 in) of turning length
- Keeps the full ø350 mm (ø13.8 in) turning diameter that the milling variants give up
- Bar capacity up to ø66 mm with the larger ø76 mm bore listed in brackets
- MT-4 tailstock on every length for shaft work between centres
- Turret available with 8 or 12 stations
Limitations
- No driven tools, Y axis or sub-spindle in this column; those are separate FTC-350 variants
- 4,500 rpm top speed, against 6,000 rpm on the smaller FTC-300
- Spindle power, torque and rapid rates are not published on the series page
- The base turret has 8 stations, which leaves little spare on mixed work

Frequently Asked Questions
01
They are the longer beds. The table gives maximum turning length as 340/660/1,000 mm and Z travel as 380/700/1,040 mm for the standard, L and XL versions in that order. Chuck, spindle and turret rows are the same on all three.
02
Bar work capacity is printed as ø52/ø66 mm (ø2.0/ø2.6 in) and the through-spindle hole as ø62 (ø76) mm. The larger figures appear to go together, so bar above ø52 mm would need the bracketed ø76 mm bore; confirm how it is specified with the maker.
03
Not in this column. It is the two-axis version with a tailstock. Feeler lists turning-milling as the FTC-350MC/LMC/XLMC, a Y-axis machine as the FTC-350LY and sub-spindle machines as the FTC-350S/LS/XLS, each with its own figures.
04
The bed lengths match: both list Z travel of 380/700/1,040 mm. The FTC-430/L/XL is the larger machine across the spindle, with a 10 in chuck, ø430 mm turning diameter, ø78 mm bar capacity and 3,500 rpm against the 8 in chuck, ø350 mm and 4,500 rpm here.
