How much does the Feeler FT-200(MC) cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Feeler FT-200(MC) that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Feeler FT-200(MC) is the smallest lathe in the FT series, which Feeler heads as horizontal box way lathes. It takes an 8 in (203 mm) chuck, turns up to 300 mm (11.8 in) in diameter and 487 mm (19.2 in) in length, and its spindle reaches 4,500 rpm. The MC in brackets marks the driven-tool version of the same machine.
For its chuck size the spindle is generous. The nose is A2-6 with a 76 mm through-hole, and bar capacity is 65 mm (2.6 in). That is a large bore for an 8 in lathe, so this model takes bar stock that often calls for the next chuck size up, while keeping the higher speed of the smaller spindle.
The turret is listed as BMT65-12 on every FT model, the FT-200(MC) included: 12 stations with the BMT65 interface, a bolted, keyed mount designed to hold driven tool holders rigidly. X travel is printed as 165+10 mm and Z travel as 580 mm (22.8 in). A tailstock with an MT-4 taper is part of the specification.
Sliding box ways are the reason to consider an FT lathe over a linear guide machine. They add damping in heavy or interrupted cuts, hard turning and large-insert roughing. They also move more slowly, and the FT table lists no rapid rates at all. Nor does it give motor power, driven-tool speed or machine weight. Feeler's page describes the larger FT-250 and FT-350 in some detail but says nothing specific about this model, so the table is all there is.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 65 mm (2.6 in) bar capacity through a 76 mm bore on an 8 in chuck machine
- 4,500 rpm on an A2-6 spindle nose
- BMT65-12 turret, with a driven-tool MC version
- Box way lathe series, per Feeler's heading
- 487 mm (19.2 in) turning length with an MT-4 tailstock
Limitations
- No rapid traverse rates are published for the FT series
- Maximum turning diameter is 300 mm (11.8 in)
- No Y axis or sub-spindle column exists for this size
- Spindle power, torque and driven-tool ratings are missing from the page

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Feeler's table heads the column FT-200(MC), one set of figures for the FT-200 and the FT-200MC. In the maker's lathe naming MC marks the version with driven tools and C-axis, and the turret is listed as BMT65-12, an interface made for driven tool holders.
02
Maximum turning diameter 300 mm (11.8 in), maximum turning length 487 mm (19.2 in) and bar work capacity 65 mm (2.6 in), on an 8 in (203 mm) chuck.
03
A 4,500 rpm spindle with an A2-6 nose and a through-spindle hole of 76 mm (3.0 in). Motor power and torque are not listed in the series table.
04
The FT-250(MC) is larger and much longer: a 10 in chuck, 420 mm turning diameter, 1,037 mm turning length and 77 mm of bar capacity, at 3,500 rpm on an A2-8 nose. Both list the BMT65-12 turret and an MT-4 tailstock.
