Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Vision Wide SV-1266 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Vision Wide or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training

Overview

Among the mid-size SV models the Vision Wide SV-1266 is the fast one. It pairs 1,200 mm (47.2 in) of X travel and 600 mm (23.6 in) of Y and Z with rapids of 36 / 36 / 30 m/min, the higher of the two rapid ratings in the series.

The table is long for the travel: 1,400×610 mm (55.1×24.0 in), longer than the X stroke, and it is rated for 800 kg (1,764 lb). That overhang gives room for clamps and for a tailstock when a rotary table is fitted, though the spindle cannot reach the full length of it.

Two neighbours bracket it. The SV-1166 has the same Y, Z and spindle but 1,100 mm (43.3 in) of X, a 700 kg (1,543 lb) table and 30 / 30 / 24 m/min rapids. The SV-1270 keeps the 1,200 mm (47.2 in) X and the fast rapids, with 700 mm (27.6 in) of Y, 650 mm (25.6 in) of Z and a 1,200 kg (2,646 lb) table. If the parts are plates and light fixtures, the SV-1266 covers them without paying in floor space for the deeper saddle.

Spindle figures are the series baseline, 7.5 / 11 kW (10.1 / 14.8 hp) with 10,000 rpm standard. For finishing with small cutters, 12,000 / 15,000 rpm spindles are optional, and so is XYZ axis linear scale feedback; absolute pulse coder feedback on the three axes is what the standard machine uses.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 36 / 36 / 30 m/min rapids on a 1,200 mm (47.2 in) X travel machine
  • 1,400×610 mm (55.1×24.0 in) table, longer than the 1,200 mm (47.2 in) X travel
  • 800 kg (1,764 lb) table load, above the 700 kg (1,543 lb) of the SV-1166
  • XYZ-axis absolute pulse coder feedback as standard, linear scales as an option

Limitations

  • Y travel is 600 mm (23.6 in); the SV-1270 offers 700 mm (27.6 in) on the same X
  • The table is longer than the travel, so its ends are outside the spindle's reach
  • Table load of 800 kg (1,764 lb) is well short of the 1,200 kg (2,646 lb) of the SV-1270
  • Base spindle power is 7.5 / 11 kW (10.1 / 14.8 hp)

Best For

Long, light plates and bar-type parts on a 1,400 mm (55.1 in) table Jobs with many positioning moves, where 36 / 36 / 30 m/min rapids help Finishing with the optional 12,000 / 15,000 rpm spindle

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What are the SV-1266's travels and rapid rates?

X is 1,200 mm (47.2 in), Y is 600 mm (23.6 in) and Z is 600 mm (23.6 in). Rapid traverse is 36 / 36 / 30 m/min on X, Y and Z, and the cutting feed range is 1-10 m/min.

02 Should I choose the SV-1266 or the SV-1270?

Both have 1,200 mm (47.2 in) of X and 36 / 36 / 30 m/min rapids. The SV-1270 has 700 mm (27.6 in) of Y, 650 mm (25.6 in) of Z and a 1,200 kg (2,646 lb) table. The SV-1266 has 600 mm (23.6 in) on Y and Z and an 800 kg (1,764 lb) table, so it suits lighter work.

03 How much weight can the SV-1266 table carry?

The maximum table load is 800 kg (1,764 lb) on a 1,400×610 mm (55.1×24.0 in) table. Count the vises, any rotary table and the workpiece together against that figure.

04 Does the SV-1266 have linear scales?

Not as standard. The standard accessory list gives XYZ-axis absolute pulse coder feedback. XYZ axis linear scale feedback is on the optional list, along with auto tool length measurement.
