Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Vision Wide XML-42 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Vision Wide XML-42 measures its longest axis twice. An X dual linear scale is standard, one scale on each side of the moving column, along with a Z axis linear scale.
On a moving column machine this is not a refinement. The column straddles the table and is driven along both rails; over a travel listed as 8,200(+1m)~60,200 mm, the two sides must stay in step to within the machine's accuracy or the bridge skews and every Y move is out of square. Two scales let the control see both sides. Vision Wide's feature text claims high-standard geometric accuracy and positioning accuracy for the whole machine, without giving figures.
Y is treated differently. The Y axis has a ball screw supporting device as standard and a linear scale only as an option. With 4,200 mm (165.4 in) of Y travel, the option is worth adding where hole positions across the part matter.
The machine accepts a workpiece 4,100 mm (161.4 in) wide on a table listed as 3.5×(8~60) m. The ram is 580x580 mm (22.8x22.8 in) with 1,500 mm of standard Z. Power is 22/26 kW (29.5/34.9 hp), and cutting feed is 1-10,000 mm/min.
