Overview
The DN Solutions DNM 5700 L extends the already generous DNM 5700 platform with a 1,300 mm (51 in) X-axis stroke and a 1,500 x 570 mm table. That extra 250 mm of X-travel over the standard DNM 5700 opens up longer mold bases, larger structural components, and multi-part fixture setups that the standard model can't accommodate. For shops consistently working parts in the 1,000-1,200 mm range, the DNM 5700 L means you don't have to step up to the significantly larger and more expensive DNM 6700.
The spindle specs are identical to the standard DNM 5700: 8,000 RPM, 18.5 kW (25 hp), 117.8 Nm torque through an ISO 40 taper. Box-way construction carries over, providing the same rigidity foundation that makes the entire DNM series effective for heavy steel and cast iron work. Y and Z travels remain at 570 mm and 510 mm, so the extension is purely along the table length where longer parts need it.
At 7,000 kg, the DNM 5700 L carries 500 kg more mass than the standard model, which adds to vibration damping and thermal stability during extended cutting cycles. The 1,500 x 570 mm table with 1,000 kg load capacity handles heavy long parts and multi-part fixtures without concern. The FANUC 0i-Plus control is consistent across the DNM family. For shops that regularly bump up against 1,050 mm X-travel on their standard DNM 5700, the L variant provides the breathing room without a major jump in cost or footprint.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 1,300 mm X-travel handles longer parts and multi-part fixtures that the standard DNM 5700 can't reach
- 1,500 x 570 mm table provides generous fixturing space for production work and long mold bases
- Box-way construction maintains the rigidity that defines the DNM series across the extended travel
- 7,000 kg mass provides excellent vibration damping and thermal stability for extended cutting cycles
- 1,000 kg table load capacity handles heavy long parts and multi-part tombstone setups
- Same proven spindle and control platform as the standard DNM 5700 — no surprises
Limitations
- 8,000 RPM spindle speed limits high-speed aluminum work — 12K and 15K RPM options available
- 510 mm Z-travel is unchanged from the standard model, which may still limit deep-cavity work
- Larger footprint than the standard DNM 5700 requires more floor space
- 7,000 kg weight needs slightly more robust floor preparation than lighter VMCs

Frequently Asked Questions
01
New DNM 5700 L machines run $90,000-$135,000. The base machine with 8K RPM spindle starts around $90,000-$105,000. Adding a higher-speed spindle, through-spindle coolant, probing, and accessories pushes pricing to $120,000-$135,000. The premium over a standard DNM 5700 is typically $8,000-$12,000 for the extended bed.
02
The DNM 6700 offers 1,300mm X-travel (same as the 5700 L) but increases Y to 670mm (vs 570mm) and Z to 625mm (vs 510mm). If your parts fit within 570mm Y-travel, the 5700 L saves money. If you need more Y and Z clearance, the 6700 is worth the upgrade. The 6700 also offers an XL variant with 2,100mm X-travel if you need even more reach.
03
DN Solutions doesn't list a dedicated DNM 5700 L 4TH model in the current catalog. You can install an aftermarket rotary table on the DNM 5700 L using the generous table space. Alternatively, the DNM 5700 4TH (standard length) offers factory-integrated fourth-axis capability if 1,050mm X-travel is sufficient for your 4-axis work.
04
The DNM 5700 L has more X-travel (1,300 vs 1,016mm) and box-way construction versus the Haas VF-3's linear guides. The Haas offers more Z-travel (635 vs 510mm) and a lower base price. For long parts in steel and cast iron, the DNM 5700 L's combination of extended X-travel and box-way rigidity is the stronger choice.
