Overview
The Vision Wide MS-4123 is a four-metre portal mill with long cross travel: 4,100 mm (161.4 in) of X, 2,300 mm (90.6 in) of Y, and a 4,000x1,500 mm (157.5x59.1 in) table for 12,000 kg (26,455 lb).
Coolant is worth planning on a machine that will spend its life in long milling cuts. A cutting fluid cooling system and a spindle cooling system are standard. Beyond that the list is all options: a spindle ring cutting coolant device, for use with no head attachment; a coolant through spindle system at 20/70 bar, for the vertical spindle; a coolant through tool holder interface with a 5/20 bar cutting fluid interface; and an oil mist cooling device. For face milling steel with carbide, many shops would choose mist or run dry and spend the money elsewhere. For drilling, the through-spindle system is the one that counts.
