Overview
Top of the QV line, the Pinnacle QV209 combines a 2,200 x 850 mm (86.6 x 33.5 in) table rated for 3,000 kg (6,614 lb) with box ways on every axis. It weighs 16,000 kg (35,273 lb). The group's feature list, 1500 (1700, 2000) X 900 x 850 mm Travel, identifies it as the 2000 mm machine, and because the maker's table misprints the travel cell the axis rows are not listed here.
Unlike the LV209, which slows its X and Y rapids to carry the long table, the QV209 keeps the 16 / 16 / 12 m/min of its smaller QV siblings. They were never fast. The cutting feed limit is 8,000 mm/min.
Work for this machine is large and heavy: press tools, big mould halves, fabricated frames. Three things in the table support that. The table load is the highest of any Pinnacle vertical with a single column. The spindle nose reaches 150 ~ 1,000 mm (5.9 ~ 39.4 in) from the table. And the ISO50 tool limit is 350 mm (13.8 in) and 15 kg (33 lb).
Floor space is 5,000 x 2,900 mm (196.9 x 114.2 in). The supply is 220V, 3Ph, 50 / 60Hz at 40 kVA with air at 6 kg/cm². The spindle motor is given as 25/20HP in the feature list, and the table's motor row should be clarified with Pinnacle.
