Overview
The Vision Wide GSA-6027 extends the 2,700 mm (106.3 in) wide GSA gantry to 6,000 mm (236.2 in) of X travel. The fixed table is 6,000×2,700 mm (236.2×106.3 in).
Six metres of table under a high-speed spindle produces a lot of chips over a large area, and the standard equipment reflects that. A screw type chip conveyor runs along the table sides and feeds a caterpillar type chip conveyor with water tank. A dual belt type chip conveyor with water tank is the optional alternative. On a fixed-table machine the chips stay where they fall, so the side conveyors do work that table motion would otherwise help with.
Coolant choices are a cutting fluid cooling system as standard, with coolant through spindle system 20 / 70 bar and an oil mist cooling device (MQL) as options. For aluminum tooling and composite-related molds, MQL is often the cleaner choice.
The rest is common to the series: an indexing IAC head with a 15,000 rpm spindle, 50/65 kW (67.1/87.2 hp), 32/32/20 m/min rapids, 1~20,000 mm/min cutting feed and a HEIDENHAIN TNC640. Z travel is 1,000 mm, or 1,200 mm. For more width, the GSA-6032 has 3,200 mm (126.0 in) of Y.
