Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Litz VC-600 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Litz VC-600 is the entry model of the VC vertical machining center series, with travels of 610 mm (24.0 in) in X, 410 mm (16.1 in) in Y and 540 mm (21.3 in) in Z and a belt-driven 10,000 rpm BT-40 spindle.
Belt drive is the theme of the VC range. It keeps the spindle simple to service and gives a useful torque band for everyday milling and drilling, at the expense of top speed. Buyers who want more can choose from the option list: a 12,000 rpm belt spindle, or direct-drive spindles at 12,000 rpm and 15,000 rpm. The built-in spindles offered on larger VC models are not listed for the VC-600.
Everything is scaled to light work. The motor is 5.5 / 7.5 kW (7.4 / 10.1 hp), the axis motors are 1.6 / 1.6 / 3.0 kW, the table is 700 x 400 mm (27.6 x 15.7 in) and it carries 350 kg (772 lb). T-slots are 14 mm wide, narrower than the 18 mm used from the VC-800A upward. Tool length is limited to 200 mm (7.9 in).
Rapids are 36 / 36 / 24 m/min (1,417 / 1,417 / 945 ipm). The standard control is the FANUC 0iMF-Plus, with Mitsubishi M80 and Siemens 828D as options. Note what is not included: the chip conveyor and even the chip cart are options on this series. Weight is 4,200 kg (9,259 lb) and supply 15 kVA.
