How much does the Litz DV-600 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Litz DV-600 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Litz DV-600 is the smallest vertical machining center in the DV series: 600 mm (23.6 in) of X travel, 410 mm (16.1 in) of Y and 540 mm (21.3 in) of Z on a machine that weighs 4,200 kg (9,259 lb). Its spindle is also the fastest standard spindle in the series at 12,000 rpm, where the DV-800 and DV-1000 run to 10,000 rpm.
Small does not mean short in Z. The DV-600 keeps the same 540 mm Z stroke as the DV-800, with 100 to 640 mm (3.9 to 25.2 in) between spindle nose and table, so tall fixtures and a fourth-axis rotary table (an option) still fit under the spindle. What shrinks is the table: 700 x 400 mm (27.6 x 15.7 in), a 350 kg (772 lb) load limit and T-slots that are 14 mm wide where the DV-800 uses 18 mm. Clamps and T-nuts from a bigger machine will not carry over.
The spindle motor is 5.5 / 7.5 kW (7.5 / 10 HP), continuous and 30 min rated, on a BBT-40 shank. Paired with 12,000 rpm that favours small cutters, drilling and tapping in aluminium and light steel work. Tool length in the 24-tool arm changer is capped at 200 mm (7.9 in).
Power demand is 15 kVA and the coolant tank holds 200 L, both the lowest figures in the DV series. A 15,000 rpm spindle, coolant through the spindle and a chip conveyor are options.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 12,000 rpm standard spindle, against 10,000 rpm on the DV-800 and DV-1000
- 540 mm (21.3 in) of Z travel on a 600 mm machine, the same Z stroke as the DV-800
- Light installation: 4,200 kg (9,259 lb) and a 15 kVA supply
- Rapids of 36 / 36 / 24 m/min (1,417 / 1,417 / 945 ipm) with cutting feed up to 20,000 mm/min
Limitations
- Table load stops at 350 kg (772 lb) on a 700 x 400 mm (27.6 x 15.7 in) table
- Tools longer than 200 mm (7.9 in) do not fit the changer
- The 5.5 / 7.5 kW (7.5 / 10 HP) motor is the smallest spindle motor rating shared with the DV-700, so heavy cuts are out
- 14 mm T-slots differ from the 18 mm slots of the DV-800 and larger models

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Travels are 600 mm (23.6 in) in X, 410 mm (16.1 in) in Y and 540 mm (21.3 in) in Z. The table measures 700 x 400 mm (27.6 x 15.7 in) and is rated for 350 kg (772 lb). Spindle nose to table distance is 100 to 640 mm (3.9 to 25.2 in).
02
The standard spindle reaches 12,000 rpm and takes BBT-40 tooling. The motor is rated 5.5 / 7.5 kW (7.5 / 10 HP), continuous and 30 min. Litz lists a 15,000 rpm spindle and coolant through the spindle as options.
03
The arm-type changer holds 24 tools. Each can be up to 200 mm (7.9 in) long and 8 kg (18 lb). The table gives maximum tool diameter as 80 / 125 mm (3.1 / 4.9 in); ask Litz which figure applies with neighbouring pockets filled.
04
The machine weighs 4,200 kg (9,259 lb), needs a 15 kVA electrical supply and a compressed air source of 6 kg/cm². The coolant tank holds 200 L. A chip auger inside the machine and a chip cart are standard; the chip conveyor is an option.
