Litz TX-700 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Litz TX-700 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Litz or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The Litz TX-700 is the middle size of the TX tapping centers. It keeps the BT-30 spindle, 12,000 rpm speed and 48 / 48 / 48 m/min (1,890 / 1,890 / 1,890 ipm) rapids of the series and gives them 700 mm (27.6 in) of X travel over an 850 x 400 mm (33.5 x 15.7 in) table.

Two things are done with the extra X on a machine like this. One is longer parts: heat sinks, rails, frames and covers that overhang a 500 mm machine. The other is more parts per cycle, with a row of small fixtures along the table so the operator loads less often. In both cases Y stays at 400 mm (15.7 in) and Z at 330 mm (13.0 in), so the gain is in one direction only.

Table load is 250 kg (551 lb), unchanged from the TX-500 despite the longer table. A full row of hydraulic fixtures can reach that figure, so weigh the setup. The machine itself weighs 3,500 kg (7,716 lb) and needs 15 kVA.

The spindle motor is 3.5 / 5.5 kW (4.7 / 7.4 hp). Tooling is limited to 3 kg (7 lb) and 250 mm (9.8 in) in the 21-tool disc type magazine. Standard equipment includes a full enclosure and slideway protection covers on X, Y and Z. Options include a 4th axis rotating table or a DDR embedded motor 4th axis, an automatic door and a fixture cleaning device, which together turn the TX-700 into a production cell.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What size is the Litz TX-700 table?

850 x 400 mm (33.5 x 15.7 in), with three 14 mm T-slots and a 250 kg (551 lb) load limit. X travel is 700 mm (27.6 in), Y is 400 mm (15.7 in) and Z is 330 mm (13.0 in).

02 What spindle and motor does the TX-700 have?

A BT-30 spindle at 12,000 rpm with a 3.5 / 5.5 kW (4.7 / 7.4 hp) motor, continuous and 30 min rated. Rigid tapping and a spindle air blow device are standard; a 24,000 rpm spindle is optional.

03 Which controls are offered on the TX-700?

The Mitsubishi M80 is standard and is the control named in the specification table. The Mitsubishi M830S and FANUC 0iMD are listed as options in the accessory list.

04 Should I choose the TX-700 or the TX-1000?

The TX-1000 has 1,000 mm (39.4 in) of X, 500 mm (19.7 in) of Y, a 350 kg (772 lb) table load and cutting feed to 30,000 mm/min. The TX-700 is the choice when 700 x 400 mm is enough and a 3,500 kg machine fits the floor better.
