Brother TC-S2B

The Brother TC-S2B is a mid-range high-speed tapping center in Brother's current-generation TC-S2 lineup. With X/Y/Z travels of 400 x 300 x 250 mm, a 2.2 kW spindle motor, and a 21-tool ATC, the TC-S2B occupies the sweet spot between the compact TC-S2A and the larger TC-S2C, handling a broader range of small-to-medium parts while retaining the rapid cycling that defines the Brother tapping center platform.

The BT30 spindle runs at 10,000 rpm standard with an optional 16,000 rpm high-speed configuration. Tool-to-tool change time is under 1.0 second, and the high-acceleration servo drives on all three axes minimize repositioning time between holes. The column-traverse architecture moves the spindle column rather than the table, reducing workpiece-side moving mass for faster acceleration.

The 21-tool ATC provides sufficient capacity for complex drilling, tapping, reaming, and light milling programs without manual intervention. The 50 kg table load capacity accommodates aluminum die-cast housings, valve bodies, and similar parts that exceed the TC-S2A's 30 kg limit.

The CNC-C00 control provides Ethernet connectivity, USB program transfer, high-speed look-ahead, rigid tapping optimization, and conversational programming aids. The control platform is shared across the entire TC-S2 and Speedio lineup, simplifying operator training for shops running multiple Brother machines.

The TC-S2B is the most popular model in the TC-S2 series for general-purpose high-speed tapping and drilling applications, offering the best balance of work envelope, tooling capacity, and compact footprint for production environments.
