Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Juaristi MP7-RAM that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Juaristi MP7-RAM is the mid-size hydrostatic floor type boring center in the MP-RAM series, built around a 180-205 mm boring bar with 1,000-1,200 mm of W travel and a column whose vertical travel runs from 3,000 mm to 7,000 mm.
One thing is missing and should be said early: Juaristi's table leaves the spindle torque cell empty for this model. Power is given, 64/96 kW, the same as the MP6-RAM, and speed is 2,500–2,000 min-1 through 2 ranges. Lower speed at equal power normally means more torque at the bar, but the number has to come from the maker.
Compared with its smaller neighbour the MP7-RAM is about bar size and height. The bar grows to 180-205 mm from the 160-180 mm of the MP6-RAM, W lengthens to 1,000-1,200 mm, and the Z stroke of the RAM is 1,400-1,600 mm. The RAM section is 460 x 520 mm, the last size in the table to use it. A 205 mm bar extended 1,200 mm from a RAM that is itself 1,600 mm out is a long tool path, and it is here that the series' triple compensation of column verticality, centre of gravity and RAM straightness earns its place.
X is 4,000 mm plus N x 2,000 mm, Y extends in 500 mm steps, and rapid feeds are 20-20-20-15 m/min. Rotary tables up to 180 tonne capacity are listed for the series.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Juaristi's table does not print one: the torque cell for this model is empty. Spindle power is 64/96 kW and spindle speed 2,500–2,000 min-1 with 2 ranges. Ask the maker for the torque at the bar before comparing it with the MP6-RAM or MP9-RAM.
02
The bar diameter is 180-205 mm (7.1-8.1 in) and its axial travel, W, is 1,000-1,200 mm (39.4-47.2 in). The RAM carrying it has a 460 x 520 mm section and a Z stroke of 1,400-1,600 mm.
03
X is 4,000 mm plus N x 2,000 mm, extended in bed sections. Y is 3,000 mm plus N x 500 mm, up to 7,000 mm. Juaristi's series text mentions travels as long as 40,000 mm in X, a figure for the series as a whole and not a row of this model.
04
In the middle of five sizes. It shares its 64/96 kW power row with the MP6-RAM but has a larger bar, a longer W and a taller column. The MP9-RAM above it changes to a 520 x 580 mm RAM and lists 71/100 kW.
