How much does the Juaristi MP6-RAM cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Juaristi MP6-RAM that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Juaristi's MP6-RAM puts 64/96 kW and 3,780-9,650 Nm (2,788-7,118 lb-ft) of spindle torque into the second-smallest frame of the hydrostatic MP-RAM floor type boring centers. The boring bar is 160-180 mm in diameter, W travel is 800-1,000 mm and the RAM stroke 1,200-1,500 mm.
Look at the torque row first. Its lower value is the upper value of the MP5-RAM, and its upper value, 9,650 Nm, is more than twice that. Yet the RAM section is still 460 x 520 mm, the same as the entry model. So this is the size for someone who needs a strong spindle but not a tall column: vertical travel runs from 2,000 mm to 5,000 mm in 500 mm steps.
That much torque through a 180 mm bar extended up to 1,000 mm is demanding on any structure. The series answers with hydrostatic guiding on all axes and a RAM that is fully enclosed and guided hydrostatically on 4 sides, plus compensation for column verticality, centre of gravity and RAM straightness. None of this is quantified, so a cutting test on your own part is the sensible acceptance step.
Spindle speed is 3,000–2,500 min-1 with 2 ranges. Rapid feeds are 20-20-20-15 m/min, the same row as every MP-RAM size. X is modular at 4,000 mm plus N x 2,000 mm.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Spindle torque of 3,780-9,650 Nm and power of 64/96 kW
- Boring bar of 160-180 mm with W travel of 800-1,000 mm
- Hydrostatic guiding on all axes
- Y travel selectable from 2,000 mm up to 5,000 mm
- Cooled gearbox spindle transmission, per the maker's feature list
Limitations
- RAM section stays at 460 x 520 mm despite the higher torque
- Rapid feeds limited to 20-20-20-15 m/min
- Spindle speed of 3,000–2,500 min-1 is below the 3,500–3,000 min-1 of the MP5-RAM
- The table does not say which options select 800 mm or 1,000 mm of W, or 1,200 mm or 1,500 mm of Z

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Spindle torque is listed as 3,780-9,650 Nm (2,788-7,118 lb-ft) with spindle power of 64/96 kW and 2 ranges. The lower torque figure equals the top figure of the MP5-RAM, so the MP6-RAM starts where the smaller machine ends.
02
W is 800-1,000 mm (31.5-39.4 in) and the bar diameter 160-180 mm. The RAM adds a Z stroke of 1,200-1,500 mm. The table does not state which W goes with which bar.
03
Vertical head travel (Y) is 2,000 mm plus N x 500 mm, up to 5,000 mm. That is 1,000 mm more than the MP5-RAM, whose Y ends at 4,000 mm, and less than the MP7-RAM, which runs from 3,000 mm to 7,000 mm.
04
Juaristi lists an automatic tool changer of chain type or robot type for the MP-RAM series, with up to 160 and 500 tools respectively, and head magazines with up to 10 automatic change positions. Tool taper and maximum tool size are not given on the page.
