Juaristi MX7 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Juaristi MX7 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Juaristi or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

Juaristi's MX7 is the middle size of the MX floor type milling machines. Its vertical travel begins at 3,000 mm and is extended in 500 mm steps to 6,000 mm, and the RAM has a Z stroke of 1,650 – 1,800 mm (65.0 – 70.9 in). X is a base 4,000 mm plus N x 2,000 mm of added bed.

A buyer usually arrives at this size because of height. The MX5 ends at 4,000 mm of Y, which is inside the MX7 range, so the two overlap between 3,000 and 4,000 mm; the choice in that band comes down to reach and spindle. On reach the MX7 has the longer RAM stroke on the same 460 x 520 mm section. On spindle, head power is 40/60 kW and torque 1,300 / 2,200 Nm (959 / 1,623 lb-ft), with a 5,000 – 6,000 min-1 speed row and 2 ranges.

More stroke on an unchanged RAM section means more overhang at full extension. Juaristi addresses that in its feature list with real-time compensation of the head and RAM centre of gravity and of RAM flexion, and with four-sided RAM guiding. Whether a given cut is acceptable at 1,800 mm out is a question for a test piece or the maker's application staff, not something the table answers.

Feeds are 30-25-25 m/min. Tool changing runs from a chain magazine of 30-120 positions to a robot type with 400 positions.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • Vertical travel from 3,000 mm up to 6,000 mm in 500 mm steps
  • Z stroke of 1,650 – 1,800 mm on a 460 x 520 mm four-side guided RAM
  • Head power of 40/60 kW with torque of 1,300 / 2,200 Nm
  • Real-time compensation of head and RAM centre of gravity and RAM flexion, per the maker's feature list
  • Modular X: 4,000 mm plus 2,000 mm sections

Limitations

  • Feeds of 30-25-25 m/min are lower than the 35-30-30 m/min of the MX5
  • RAM section stays at 460 x 520 mm; the 520 x 580 mm RAM arrives only with the MX9
  • The table does not say what separates the 1,650 mm and 1,800 mm Z versions
  • Spindle speed is 5,000 – 6,000 min-1, so high-speed finishing with small tools is outside the listed range

Best For

Tall weldments and castings between 3,000 and 6,000 mm Deep-reach milling using up to 1,800 mm of RAM stroke Energy and construction-machinery frames on a floor plate Multi-sided work with the 45º universal automatic head

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What is the vertical travel of the MX7?

Y is listed as 3,000 mm plus N x 500 mm, up to 6,000 mm. In other words the shortest column gives 3,000 mm of vertical head travel and the tallest 6,000 mm, in 500 mm increments chosen at order.

02 How far does the MX7 RAM extend?

The cross RAM stroke (Z) is given as 1,650 – 1,800 mm (65.0 – 70.9 in). The RAM section is 460 x 520 mm and Juaristi describes it as guided on four sides. The table does not explain what determines the stroke within that band, so confirm it for the configuration you are quoted.

03 How powerful is the MX7 head?

Head power is 40/60 kW (53.6/80.5 hp) and torque 1,300 / 2,200 Nm. Rotation speed is 5,000 – 6,000 min-1 with 2 speed ranges. The paired values are not labelled by head type in the table.

04 Which heads can the MX7 carry?

The table lists a fixed horizontal head of D 200 x L 550 mm and a 45º universal automatic head with 1º or 0.001º indexing. Juaristi's feature list for the MX series also names a vertical automatic head and an orthogonal head, and head magazines with up to 10 automatic change positions.
