Overview
The Hwacheon SIRIUS-850 is the entry size of the large SIRIUS 50-taper verticals above the SIRIUS-650: 2,000 mm (78.7 in) of X, 850 mm (33.5 in) of Y and 750 mm (29.5 in) of Z over a 2,150 x 850 mm (84.6 x 33.5 in) table rated for 4,000 kg (8,818 lb). The spindle nose sits 200 ~ 950 mm (7.9 ~ 37.4 in) above the table, so tall fixtures and long tools both fit under it.
The spindle is a built-in motor unit with an ISO#50 BBT-50 taper, offered at 8,000 or 12,000 rpm, and the table gives a 30 / 25 kW (40.2 / 33.5 hp) rating. Bearings are oil-jet lubricated on a Ø100 mm (Ø3.9 in) bore and the housing is jacket cooled from an oil cooler.
