Vision Wide SF-2620 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Vision Wide SF-2620 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Vision Wide or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The Vision Wide SF-2620 pairs 2,600 mm (102.4 in) of X travel with 2,000 mm (78.7 in) of Y over a 2,500x1,800 mm (98.4x70.9 in) table. It is the mid-length machine in the wider of the two light SF frames.

Mold shops are the buyers Vision Wide names for this series, and the option list shows why. Beyond the standard geared spindle there are 8,000/ 10,000rpm belt-driven spindles and 10,000(BT-50)/ 12,000(BT-40)rpm direct-driven spindles. Note what that last entry implies: the 12,000 rpm speed comes with a BT-40 taper and the 10,000 rpm speed with BT-50, so the choice of top speed is also a choice of tool holder size. A shop that roughs with large cutters and finishes with small ones has to decide which end of the job the spindle is bought for.

Coolant delivery follows the same pattern. A spindle cooling system and a cutting fluid cooling system are standard. Coolant through spindle system 20/70 bar, a coolant through tool holder interface and an oil mist cooling device are all options.

Table load is 9,000 kg (19,841 lb). Rapid traverse is 24 m/min in X and Y, with 15 m/min in Z.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 2,500x1,800 mm (98.4x70.9 in) table with 2,600 mm (102.4 in) and 2,000 mm (78.7 in) travels
  • Direct-driven spindle options of 10,000(BT-50)/ 12,000(BT-40)rpm for mold finishing
  • Spindle cooling system and cutting fluid cooling system are standard
  • 9,000 kg (19,841 lb) table load

Limitations

  • The 12,000 rpm direct-driven option is tied to a BT-40 taper
  • Coolant through spindle system 20/70 bar is optional
  • Standard spindle speed is 6,000 rpm, which limits small-tool finishing

Frequently Asked Questions

01 Which high-speed spindles are offered for the Vision Wide SF-2620?

The option list has 8,000/ 10,000rpm belt-driven spindles and 10,000(BT-50)/ 12,000(BT-40)rpm direct-driven spindles. The table also shows a built-in spindle at 10,000 rpm on the linear way head. The standard spindle is the 6,000rpm 2-step gear type.

02 Does the SF-2620 have through-spindle coolant?

Only as an option. Vision Wide lists a coolant through spindle system 20/70 bar for the vertical spindle, plus a coolant through tool holder interface. The base machine has a cutting fluid cooling system.

03 What are the SF-2620 table size and load?

The table is 2,500x1,800 mm (98.4x70.9 in) and carries 9,000 kg (19,841 lb). Travels are 2,600 mm (102.4 in) in X and 2,000 mm (78.7 in) in Y, each longer than the table in that direction.

04 Is there a longer version of the SF-2620?

Yes. The SF-3120 keeps 2,000 mm (78.7 in) of Y and has 3,100 mm (122.0 in) of X with a 3,000x1,800 mm (118.1x70.9 in) table rated for 10,000 kg (22,046 lb).
