Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Huron KX 200 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Huron KX 200 extends the KX 100 along X. It offers 3,300 x 2,300 x 1,000 mm (129.9 x 90.6 x 39.4 in) of travel and a fixed table of 3,500 x 1,250 mm, on the same double-column, forked-head design.
A longer bed costs some speed. The X axis traverses at 25 m/min, while Y and Z keep 40 m/min. Table load does not rise with the length: it is 12,000 kg (26,455 lb), identical to the KX 100. So the KX 200 is for parts that are longer, not heavier.
The spindle and head carry over. The HSK 63-A spindle reaches 18,000 rpm with 30 kW and 240 Nm, and its 1,200 rpm characteristic speed puts the torque where steel cutting needs it. B swivels +/- 105° and C rotates +/- 190°, at 30 rpm, backed by 7,000 Nm.
Huron's feature list for the KX Large Series mentions a palletizing function, volumetric precision for moulds and complex parts, and direct measurement on linear and rotary axes. The stated figures are 0.007 mm positioning and 0.004 mm repeatability on X, Y and Z, with 10 sec and 5 sec on B and C. The installation is long: 10,690 mm deep, 8,000 mm wide and 5,410 mm high. Forty tools are carried, each up to 300 mm long.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 3,300 mm (129.9 in) of X travel with five-axis head
- Keeps 40 m/min rapids on Y and Z
- 240 Nm spindle with torque from 1,200 rpm
- Same 0.007 mm linear positioning figure as the shorter KX 100
- Wide 2,300 mm Y stroke over a 1,250 mm table
Limitations
- X rapid falls to 25 m/min
- Table load stays at 12,000 kg despite the longer table
- Needs 10,690 mm of depth with doors open and conveyor
- 30 rpm head axes are slow for simultaneous contouring of fine detail

Frequently Asked Questions
01
X travel is 3,300 mm (129.9 in) and the table is 3,500 mm long by 1,250 mm wide. Y travel is 2,300 mm and Z travel 1,000 mm.
02
25 m/min on X and 40 m/min on Y and Z. The KX 100, with its shorter X axis, runs at 40 m/min on all three linear axes.
03
12,000 kg (26,455 lb) on a fixed table. For heavier work the KX 300 is rated for 20,000 kg on a 5,200 x 2,000 mm table.
04
An HSK 63-A spindle at up to 18,000 rpm with 30 kW and 240 Nm. The automatic tool changer has 40 housings. Tool diameter is 100 mm, or 190 mm with adjacent housings free, with a 300 mm length limit and an 8 kg weight limit.
