How much does the Fryer TC-320V cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Fryer TC-320V that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Fryer TC-320V is the longest machine in the TC-V series, which Fryer itself describes as running all the way to a huge 320" travel machine. The column travels 320 in (8,128 mm) on a rack and pinion drive along a fixed table of 320 x 24 in (8,128 x 610 mm). It weighs 50,000 lb (22,680 kg).
What stands out in the table is how the load rating keeps rising with length. The TC-240V carries 14,000 lb (6,350 kg); this model carries 18,000 lb (8,165 kg). A fixed table rests on the foundation along its whole length, so more table simply means more support, the opposite of a moving-table machine where a longer table usually means a lighter permitted load.
Everything that cuts is unchanged from the short models, which is worth knowing before specifying one. Y and Z are 24 in (610 mm), with 32 in (813 mm) as extended travel options. The spindle is CAT 40 at 60 - 8,500 rpm with 30 hp (22.4 kW) peak, and the changer holds 24 tools. So this is a long machine for long parts of modest cross-section, not a large-envelope machine in every direction.
Installation is the larger project. Operating width is 440 in (11,176 mm) by 138 in (3,505 mm) deep. Chips have a long way to go as well; Fryer's chip conveyor system for TC machines of 160" - 320" is an option. Positioning accuracy is +/- 0.0003 in (0.0076 mm).

Frequently Asked Questions
01
X travel is 320 in (8,128 mm) and the fixed table is 320 x 24 in (8,128 x 610 mm). Operating dimensions are 440 x 138 x 118 in (11,176 x 3,505 x 2,997 mm) and the machine weighs 50,000 lb (22,680 kg).
02
18,000 lb (8,165 kg), evenly distributed. That is the highest in the series: the TC-240V is rated 14,000 lb (6,350 kg) and the TC-160V 10,000 lb (4,536 kg).
03
No. The table lists one spindle for the whole series: CAT 40, 60 - 8,500 rpm, 30 hp (22.4 kW) peak and 155 ft-lb (210 Nm) at 350 rpm. A 40 hp (29.8 kW) motor and a CAT 50 spindle are options, as on the other models.

Fryer offers the TC-V series open style with semi-guarding or fully enclosed, and the options sheet lists a full machine guard for TC models of 240" - 320". A chip conveyor system for 160" - 320" machines is a separate option.
