How much does the Fidia ARIAL 60L cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Fidia ARIAL 60L that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Fidia ARIAL 60L has the largest working envelope in the ARIAL range: 6,000 mm (236.2 in) of X, 2,600 mm (102.4 in) of Y and 1,200 mm (47.2 in) of Z. Like its siblings it is a 5-axis moving-beam gantry for high-speed work in composites, resins, plastics, aluminium, light alloys and wood.
At this size the structure carries more of the argument than the spindle. Fidia describes a monolithic build for vibration damping, a front beam designed to minimize overhang, and doors hung on a separate structure so their weight never reaches the main crossbar. On a beam spanning 2,600 mm (102.4 in) of Y travel, those details decide whether accuracy holds at 80 m/min.
The cutting end is unchanged from the smaller machines. The spindle delivers 22/25 kW (29.5/33.5 hp), S1/S6 at up to 24,000 rpm with HSK-A63 tooling; B is limited to ±120° and C to ±360°; Z travels at 60 m/min. A magazine of 8 or 16 positions is listed.
One large machine or two smaller ones is the question at this size. Pendular mode, an option, gives some of the benefit of two machines by dividing the X travel into two work areas. If the parts never exceed 1,800 mm (70.9 in) in width, the ARIAL 60 covers the same length.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Largest envelope in the range: 6,000 mm (236.2 in) by 2,600 mm (102.4 in) by 1,200 mm (47.2 in)
- 80 m/min in X and Y on a moving-beam gantry
- Pendular mode option divides the long X travel into two work areas
- Front beam structure designed to minimize overhang
Limitations
- Spindle power is the same 22/25 kW (29.5/33.5 hp), S1/S6 as on the smallest moving-beam size
- Z travel is limited to 1,200 mm (47.2 in)
- 8 or 16 tool positions is a small magazine for a machine of this size

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Axis travels are 6,000 mm (236.2 in) in X, 2,600 mm (102.4 in) in Y and 1,200 mm (47.2 in) in Z, the largest working envelope Fidia lists for the ARIAL range. Overall machine dimensions and weight are not given.
02
Maximum axis speed is 80 m/min in X and Y and 60 m/min in Z, and the spindle runs to 24,000 rpm. Fidia states that the sizes share the same rapid traverse and rotary axis dynamics.
03
Yes, as an option. Fidia lists a pendular mode option and a twin shuttle option for the moving-beam ARIAL machines. Pendular mode divides the X travel into two work areas so that one can be loaded while the other is machined.
04
The ARIAL 50L has the same 2,600 mm (102.4 in) Y and 1,200 mm (47.2 in) Z with 5,000 mm (196.9 in) of X. The ARIAL 60 keeps the 6,000 mm (236.2 in) X travel with a narrower Y of 1,800 mm (70.9 in).
