Overview
The Ibarmia T36 tops the T series. This 5-axis machining center takes a maximum swing diameter of 3,600 mm (141.7 in), a part height of 2,150 mm (84.6 in), and in T Extreme form carries a 1,600 x 1,600 mm (63.0 x 63.0 in) table.
Compared with the T30 beneath it, every envelope figure grows. The T30 lists 3,000 mm (118.1 in) of swing, 1,950 mm (76.8 in) of height and a 1,250 x 1,600 mm (49.2 x 63.0 in) table. The square table of the T36 gives a fixture the same support in both directions, which is useful when a heavy part is indexed and cut from several sides.
Even so, a 3,600 mm swing is more than twice the 1,600 mm table side. Parts at the upper end of the envelope will extend well past the table, and the fixture has to be designed for that. The spindle ceiling stays at 84 kW (112.6 hp), as on the smaller T sizes, with magazines of up to 360 positions. T Multiprocess adds turning to the 5-axis milling of T Extreme. Two heads are shown: THC (B axis, -15º/+195º) and THR (A axis, -45º/+135º).
