Overview

The Victor Taichung Vcenter-FX400 is the maker's lower-specification 5-axis machine, a vertical machining center with a Ø320 mm (Ø12.59 in) trunnion tilting table. Travels are 600 mm (23.62 in), 500 mm (19.68 in) and 500 mm (19.68 in), the A axis tilts from -120 to 30 deg and the C axis rotates 0 ~ 360 deg.

Victor Taichung is explicit about what the standard machine does: a Fanuc 0iMF Plus control for 4+1 axis machining. The table is positioned, locked and the part is cut with three axes. Full 5-axis control is offered with a Siemens control as an option. For a great deal of five-sided work, positioning is all that is needed.

The largest part is given as Ø400 x H160 + Ø220 x H250 mm, that is, a wide low section with a narrower, taller one above it, the shape that clears the spindle nose when the table tilts. Load is 200 kg (440.92 lb).

The spindle is a 12000 rpm BBT-40 directly coupled to its motor, with 24 tools. Motor power is 11 / 15 kW (15 / 20 HP), or 7.5 / 11 / 15 kW (10 / 15 / 20 HP) in the CTS column. Rapid feeds are 32/32/32 m/min. Beside the Vcenter-AX380, which has the same tilt range, this machine has a smaller table, shorter X and Z travels and six fewer tools, and weighs 6,100 kg (13,448.18 lb).
