How much does the Fidia ARIAL 60 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Fidia ARIAL 60 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Fidia ARIAL 60 is the longest standard-width ARIAL: 6,000 mm (236.2 in) of X travel, with 1,800 mm (70.9 in) of Y and 1,200 mm (47.2 in) of Z, in a moving-beam 5-axis gantry.
Long and fairly narrow is a specific envelope. It fits beams, profiles and extrusions, or a row of smaller parts machined in one cycle. With a moving beam the workpiece stays put, so a long part does not have to be accelerated, and the stated axis speed of 80 m/min in X and Y applies whatever is on the table.
The spindle is a 24,000 rpm unit on HSK-A63 rated 22/25 kW (29.5/33.5 hp), S1/S6, the same as on the shorter sizes, in a head with ±120° on B and ±360° on C. Z moves at 60 m/min. Fidia lists advanced materials as the target: composites, resins, plastics, aluminium, light alloys and wood.
For loading, the doors sit on their own structure and Fidia lists an easy access height, which matters when parts of this length are craned or carried in. Pendular mode and a twin shuttle are options, and the magazine holds 8 or 16 tools. The ARIAL 60L is the wider alternative, at 2,600 mm (102.4 in) of Y.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 6,000 mm (236.2 in) of X travel for long parts or rows of parts
- Stationary workpiece under a moving beam
- 22/25 kW (29.5/33.5 hp), S1/S6 at 24,000 rpm on HSK-A63
- Twin shuttle and pendular mode options
Limitations
- Y travel of 1,800 mm (70.9 in) makes the envelope long and narrow; the ARIAL 60L has 2,600 mm (102.4 in)
- Z travel is 1,200 mm (47.2 in)
- A 16-position magazine is the largest listed

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The envelope is 6,000 mm (236.2 in) in X, 1,800 mm (70.9 in) in Y and 1,200 mm (47.2 in) in Z. It has the longest X travel of the three standard moving-beam sizes.
02
Maximum speed is 80 m/min in X and Y and 60 m/min in Z. Because the beam moves and the workpiece does not, those figures do not depend on the weight of the part.
03
Y travel. The ARIAL 60L extends it to 2,600 mm (102.4 in), against 1,800 mm (70.9 in) here, which Fidia describes as the largest working envelope. X, Z, speeds, spindle and head limits are the same in the two tables.
04
HSK-A63, on a spindle with a maximum speed of 24,000 rpm. The tool magazine is offered with 8 or 16 positions. Larger tool interfaces are not listed for the ARIAL range.
