How much does the Feeler FTC-350LY cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Feeler FTC-350LY that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
A Y axis with 80 (±40) mm (3.1 (±1.6) in) of travel is what defines the Feeler FTC-350LY. It is a single-length machine on the 8 in (203 mm) FTC-350 platform, with 585 mm (23.0 in) of turning length and 625 mm (24.6 in) of Z travel.
With Y, a driven tool can leave the spindle centreline. Keyways can be cut to width with a smaller cutter, flats milled true, and holes drilled off-axis, none of which a C axis alone does well. A stroke of ±40 mm covers features on bar and small forgings; it will not face-mill across a large flange.
Unusually for a milling lathe in this family, the column keeps the full ø350 mm (ø13.8 in) turning diameter. The FTC-350MC/LMC/XLMC, which mills without Y, is listed at ø235 mm. X travel is 175+25 mm, the same as on the two-axis FTC-350/L/XL.
Spindle figures are shared with the rest of the 350 family: A2-6 nose, 4,500 rpm, a ø62 (ø76) mm bore. Bar capacity is ø52 mm (ø2.0 in) only, without the larger second figure the two-axis machine shows. The tailstock is MT-4. Feeler's turret cell for this model is printed as a code that is not clear, so the tooling interface and station count should be confirmed.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 80 (±40) mm of Y travel for milling off the spindle centreline
- Full ø350 mm (ø13.8 in) turning diameter, where the FTC-350MC/LMC/XLMC is limited to ø235 mm
- 585 mm (23.0 in) of turning length with an MT-4 tailstock
- A2-6 spindle at 4,500 rpm with a ø62 (ø76) mm bore
Limitations
- One bed length only: 585 mm of turning length
- Bar capacity listed as ø52 mm (ø2.0 in), with no larger second figure
- Y stroke of ±40 mm suits features on small parts, not wide face milling
- No sub-spindle; back-end work needs the FTC-350SLY

Frequently Asked Questions
01
80 (±40) mm, or 3.1 (±1.6) in: 40 mm above and below the spindle centreline. That is enough for keyways, flats and off-axis holes on parts of the size an 8 in chuck holds.
02
The FTC-350LY adds the Y axis and comes in one length, 585 mm of turning length. The FTC-350MC/LMC/XLMC has no Y travel, comes in three lengths up to 970 mm and is listed with a ø235 mm turning diameter against ø350 mm here.
03
Yes, as a separate column. The FTC-350SLY lists the same 80 (±40) mm Y travel with a second 6 in chuck and 660 mm of E-axis travel in place of the tailstock. The FTC-350LY itself has a tailstock with an MT-4 taper.
04
ø52 mm (ø2.0 in). The through-spindle hole is printed as ø62 (ø76) mm, but unlike the two-axis FTC-350/L/XL this column shows no second bar figure, so ask whether the larger bore raises bar capacity on this model.
