Honor Seiki VL-200C

The Honor Seiki VL-200C turns 2,500 mm (98.4 in) in diameter and 1,480 mm (58.2 in) in height, and carries 12,000 kg (26,455 lb). It is also the smallest model for which Honor Seiki lists its Solid lock clamping system as standard equipment; the accessory list names the VL-200 and VL-250 for that item.

The page does not explain what Solid lock clamps or how. On a machine of this size the tool sits at the end of a long ram, far from the crossrail, and anything loose in a clamped joint shows up as chatter on the part, so the system is worth having described. That it is standard here, where the smaller sizes on the page do not list it, tells the buyer where the maker thinks rigidity starts to matter most.

Height is the other change. The VL-125C and VL-160C both stop at 1,200 mm (47.2 in). The VL-200C adds enough to take taller work such as large pump casings, gearbox housings, pressure vessel heads and hydro turbine parts. An extended higher column and extended Z travel remain available as options for anything beyond that.

It is a turning machine with 12 tool positions and no live spindle. Standard workholding is a table with a manual 4-jaw chuck under a top-open splash guard. Honor Seiki does not publish table speed, table diameter, drive power or machine weight on the page, all of which a foundation and crane plan will need. The option list includes a hydraulic chuck, a lubricant chiller, linear encoders on X and Z, a grinding function and a Siemens controller.
