How much does the Feeler FTC-30 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Feeler FTC-30 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Feeler FTC-30 is the largest FTC linear guide lathe, a 10 in chuck machine with a maximum turning diameter of φ450 mm (φ17.7 in) and a turning length of 621 mm (24.4 in). A 12 in chuck is shown in brackets as the alternative.
Its spindle is sized for bigger bar and heavier chucking. The nose is A2-8, the bore is φ88 mm, and bar capacity is φ75 mm, a clear step from the φ51 mm of the FTC-20(L). Speed drops accordingly to 3,500 rpm. On large diameters that is no handicap, since the cutting speed is reached well below it, but small-diameter finishing at the bar end will run slower than ideal.
Z travel is 670 mm (26.4 in) and X is printed as 225+25 mm. Rapids are 20/20 m/min on X/Z, a little below the 24/24 m/min of the FTC-20(L). The tailstock has an MT-4 taper and the turret has 8 stations.
Feeler's text for the series quotes a cutting diameter of ∅450 mm and a cutting length up to 621 mm, which are this model's figures, and presents the range as solid, operator-friendly lathes with a FANUC controller. Think of the FTC-30 as a two-axis workhorse for medium flanges, hubs, couplings and shafts. There is no mention of driven tools or a Y axis in this table. If those are needed, Feeler's FT series lists BMT65 driven turrets on machines of similar chuck size.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- φ75 mm bar capacity through a φ88 mm spindle bore
- φ450 mm (φ17.7 in) turning diameter and 621 mm turning length
- A2-8 spindle nose for a 10 in chuck, with 12 in as the bracketed alternative
- 670 mm (26.4 in) of Z travel with an MT-4 tailstock
Limitations
- Spindle speed is 3,500 rpm
- 8-station turret, two fewer than the FTC-10
- Rapids of 20/20 m/min are below the 24/24 m/min of the FTC-20(L)
- No live tooling, and no power or torque data
