How much does the Campro PV-2216 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Campro PV-2216 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Campro PV-2216 is the smallest of the maker's PV double column machining centers, a moving-table bridge mill with 2,200 mm (86.6 in) of X travel, 1,600 mm (62.9 in) of Y and 750 mm (29.5 in) of Z. The table is 2,300 × 1,450 mm (90.5 in x 57 in) and takes 6,000 kg (13,227 lb).
It is the point in Campro's range where a C-frame stops making sense. The CPV-2200B has the same X stroke, but its table load is 3,000 kg (6,613 lb) and its Y travel 1,020 mm (40.1 in). Here the spindle hangs from a bridge between two columns set 1,750 mm (68.8 in) apart, so a wide, heavy part is cut with the head supported on both sides. Campro describes the bridge as a single unit of one piece box type beam construction, on a monoblock column and cast base with scraped contact surfaces.
The spindle is a gear-head unit as standard: 6,000 rpm, 15 / 18.5 kW (25 HP), 7/24 taper No.50. The Z axis is a ram on box guideways, cast in one piece with the gear box, while X and Y run on heavy duty roller type linear guideways. A 32-tool chain type changer with BT-50 shanks is standard, and 40 or 60 tools are optional.
For a bridge mill the axes are lively. Rapids are 20 m/min in X and Y and 16 m/min in Z, and the cutting feedrate range is 1~10,000 mm/min. The larger PV-3221 family is slower. Chips leave through a dual built-in screw system with a conveyor. The machine weighs 25,000 kg (55,115 lb), covers 6,600 × 4,800 mm (259 in x 188 in) and needs 40 kVA.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 6,000 kg (13,227 lb) table load on a 2,300 × 1,450 mm (90.5 in x 57 in) table
- Gear-head 50-taper spindle as standard: 6,000 rpm, 15 / 18.5 kW (25 HP)
- Rapids of 20 / 20 / 16 m/min, quick for a double column machine
- 1,600 mm (62.9 in) of Y travel with 1,750 mm (68.8 in) between the columns
- Shortest PV machine: 6,600 × 4,800 mm (259 in x 188 in) of floor
Limitations
- Z travel of 750 mm (29.5 in), with no longer-Z option in the table for this model
- Table is 1,450 mm wide, narrower than the 1,600 mm (62.9 in) Y stroke
- 25,000 kg (55,115 lb) needs a prepared foundation
- Tools limited to 20 kg (44 lb) and Ø125 mm (Ø4.9 in) with a full magazine

Frequently Asked Questions
01
X travel is 2,200 mm (86.6 in), Y is 1,600 mm (62.9 in) and Z is 750 mm (29.5 in). The table is 2,300 × 1,450 mm (90.5 in x 57 in) with eight 22 mm T-slots and a maximum load of 6,000 kg (13,227 lb). The distance between columns is 1,750 mm (68.8 in).
02
Both travel 2,200 mm (86.6 in) in X. The PV-2216 is a double column machine with 1,600 mm (62.9 in) of Y, a 6,000 kg (13,227 lb) table load and a gear-head spindle with 15 / 18.5 kW (25 HP). The CPV-2200B is a C-frame machine with 1,020 mm (40.1 in) of Y and a 3,000 kg (6,613 lb) load.
03
A gear-head spindle with a maximum speed of 6,000 rpm and a 15 / 18.5 kW (25 HP) motor, on a 7/24 taper No.50 with BT-50 tool shanks. Campro states that the ram and gear box are a one-piece casting running on box guideways on the Z axis. No torque figure is published.
04
A 32-tool chain type changer is standard and 40 or 60 tools are listed as options. Tools may be Ø125 mm (Ø4.9 in), or Ø215 mm (Ø8.4 in) with adjacent pockets empty, up to 350 mm (13.7 in) long and 20 kg (44 lb). Campro says a dual arm system steadies the tool change.
05
A floor plan of 6,600 × 4,800 mm (259 in x 188 in) and 3,950 mm (155 in) of height. The machine weighs 25,000 kg (55,115 lb). Power capacity is 40 kVA and the air source 6~8 kg/cm² (85 ~ 113 PSI).
