How much does the Campro CNV-1100 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Campro CNV-1100 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
On paper the Campro CNV-1100 is barely longer in X than the model below it. In construction it is a different vertical machining center. Travels are 1,100 mm (43.3 in), 580 mm (22.8 in) and 560 mm (22 in), and the table of 1,200 × 550 mm (47.2 in x 21.6 in) carries 700 kg (1,543 lb).
Campro's feature list for this model reads unlike the one for the smaller CNV machines. The Z axis runs on box guideways, which the maker says increase rigidity and minimise vibration. A counter-balance system with its own guide rail steadies the head during fast feed. X and Y use heavy loading linear guideways, the table is supported by three blocks on the X axis, and the base and saddle are described as extra wide and massive. The result weighs 6,700 kg (14,770 lb), a full tonne more than the CNV-1050.
The head pays a small speed penalty for its box way. Z rapids at 24 m/min while X and Y keep 30 m/min. In return the machine should hold a cut better in Z-heavy work such as drilling, boring and plunge roughing, though Campro publishes no thrust or torque figures to quantify it.
The spindle motor does not grow with the frame: 7.5 / 11 kW (15 HP) at 8,000 rpm, with 10,000, 12,000 and 15,000 rpm options. Twenty-four BT-40 tools are held in an arm type changer. Spindle nose to table distance is 90~650 mm (3.5 in ~ 25.5 in). The floor plan is 3,370 × 2,500 mm (132 in x 98 in) and power capacity 15 kVA.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Box guideways on the Z axis with linear guideways on X and Y
- Counter-balance system with a guide rail for stability at high feedrate
- 700 kg (1,543 lb) table load, supported by three blocks on the X axis
- 580 mm (22.8 in) of Y travel, more than the 550 mm table depth
- 6,700 kg (14,770 lb) of machine on a 15 kVA supply
Limitations
- Z rapid is 24 m/min; the CNV-1050 moves at 30 m/min in Z
- Spindle motor is still 7.5 / 11 kW (15 HP)
- Floor plan of 3,370 × 2,500 mm (132 in x 98 in) is deeper than the CNV-1050 needs
- No thrust or torque figures are published

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Campro states that the Z axis has box guideways to increase rigidity and minimise vibration, while the X and Y axes use precision heavy loading linear guideways. Three blocks on the X axis give full support to the working table. A counter-balance system with a guide rail is fitted.
02
They share the same construction and spindle. The CNV-1300 has 1,300 mm (51.1 in) of X, 600 mm (23.6 in) of Y and 610 mm (24 in) of Z, a 900 kg (1,984 lb) load and a 20 kVA power capacity. The CNV-1100 has 1,100 mm (43.3 in), 580 mm (22.8 in) and 560 mm (22 in), with 700 kg (1,543 lb) and 15 kVA.
03
The standard spindle speed is 8,000 rpm with a 7.5 / 11 kW (15 HP) motor on a 7/24 taper No.40. Optional speeds are 10,000, 12,000 and 15,000 rpm. The tool shank is BT-40 and tools are limited to 7 kg (15 lb).
04
Rapid feedrate is 30 / 30 / 24 m/min (1,181.1 / 1,181.1 / 944.8 in/min) in X / Y / Z. Cutting feedrate is 10,000 mm/min (393.7 in/min). Tool change takes 2.5 sec tool to tool and 7 sec chip to chip.
