Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Campro CPV-1100B-BT40 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Campro sells the CPV-1100B frame with two spindles, and the CPV-1100B-BT40 is the 40-taper version: a box-way vertical machining center with travels of 1,100 mm (43.3 in), 620 mm (24.4 in) and 600 mm (23.6 in) in X, Y and Z, and an 8,000 rpm spindle.
Set the two tables side by side and the frame is plainly shared. Travels, the 1,200 × 600 mm (47.2 in x 23.6 in) table, the 1,100 kg (2,425 lb) load and the 3,325 × 2,700 mm (130 in x 106 in) floor plan are identical on the CPV-1100B-BT50. Both list an 11 / 15 kW (20 HP) spindle motor. So the choice between them is about tooling and speed, not machine size.
On this version the spindle reaches 8,000 rpm against the 6,000 rpm of the CPV-1100B-BT50, the Z axis rapids at 20 m/min instead of 15 m/min, and tool changes are quicker: 2.5 sec tool to tool and 6 sec chip to chip. What it gives up is tool size. BT-40 tools are limited to Ø80 mm (Ø3.1 in), 250 mm (9.8 in) and 7 kg (15 lb). The machine is also lighter, at 6,500 kg (14,330 lb) against 7,000 kg (15,432 lb) for the CPV-1100B-BT50, and asks for 20 kVA.
Y travel of 620 mm (24.4 in) slightly exceeds the 600 mm table depth, and the spindle center is 670 mm (26.3 in) from the column. Campro lists box ways on 3 axes, a belt type spindle with class P4 bearings and a standard spindle oil cooler. No control is named on the page.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 8,000 rpm on an 11 / 15 kW (20 HP) motor, where the CPV-1100B-BT50 stops at 6,000 rpm
- 20 m/min rapids on X, Y and Z, including Z
- Chip to chip time of 6 sec with a 24-tool arm type changer
- 1,100 kg (2,425 lb) table load on a 1,200 × 600 mm (47.2 in x 23.6 in) table
- Lower power supply requirement than the CPV-1100B-BT50: 20 kVA against 25 kVA
Limitations
- Tools limited to 7 kg (15 lb) and Ø80 mm (Ø3.1 in); the CPV-1100B-BT50 takes 15 kg (33 lb) and Ø110 mm (Ø4.3 in)
- 8,000 rpm is modest for small-tool finishing, and the table lists no faster option
- Z travel of 600 mm (23.6 in) is well short of the 780 mm (30.7 in) of the CPV-1050B
- Rapids of 20 m/min are slower than the 30 m/min of the CPV-1050B

Campro states that the series has box ways on 3 axes, with precision scraping on both the bonded Turcite-B and the cast iron surfaces. The ball screws are pretensioned class C3 and all three axes are direct drive through a backlash free coupling. An automatic lubrication unit with pressure failure detection is listed.
