Price estimate
We do not have a price for the AWEA MVP-7032 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Choose the AWEA MVP-7032 for the length of the part and nothing else. Its 7,000 mm (275.6 in) X travel and 7,020 x 2,400 mm (276.4 x 94.5 in) table are the reason it exists; in table load it matches the MVP-6032 at 20,000 kg (44,092 lb), and in speed and accuracy it gives ground to it.
The figures are plain about that. X rapid traverse is 7.5 m/min (295 ipm). Positioning accuracy under VDI is P = 0.040 mm over full travel and repeatability is P = 0.030 mm, both identical to the still longer MVP-8032. The JIS figures, ± 0.010 mm over full travel and ± 0.003 mm repeatability, are printed the same for every model in the series.
What a long five-face machine does well is finish a large part without turning it. The head cuts vertically at 10 ~ 4,000 rpm and, through the horizontal spindle head, at 20 ~ 3,000 rpm on the side faces. AWEA also lists optional heads of its own make: an extension head, a 35° angular head and a universal head. With exchangeable heads, a deep pocket, an inclined face or a bore near the bottom of a wall can all be reached with the part still clamped where it was roughed.
Power is 22 / 26 kW (30 / 35 HP) on a BT 50 taper, through a 2-step gear transmission in the standard build. Y travel is 3,200 mm (126.0 in), Z is 1,000 mm (39.4 in) and the cross rail adds 1,250 mm (49.2 in) on W. The machine weighs 85,000 kg (187,390 lb).

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 7,000 mm (275.6 in) of X travel over a 7,020 x 2,400 mm (276.4 x 94.5 in) table
- 20,000 kg (44,092 lb) table load
- Optional extension head, 35° angular head and universal head for faces the standard heads cannot reach
- Gear-driven BT 50 spindle, 22 / 26 kW (30 / 35 HP), with a 2-step auto-exchange transmission as standard
- Vibration damping mechanism on the X-axis ball screw
- Lighter than the MVP-8032: 85,000 kg (187,390 lb) against 95,000 kg (209,436 lb)
Limitations
- X rapid traverse of 7.5 m/min (295 ipm); the MVP-6032 moves at 10 m/min (394 ipm)
- VDI positioning accuracy of P = 0.040 mm over full travel, the widest figure in the series
- Table load does not rise with length: 20,000 kg (44,092 lb), as on the MVP-6032
- Extension, angular and universal heads are options

Frequently Asked Questions

02
The vertical spindle and the horizontal spindle head are standard; the horizontal head indexes on a curvic coupling in 5° increments (72 positions) and is oil mist lubricated. AWEA lists three optional heads: an extension head, a 35° angular head and a universal head. The maker's page also mentions automatic exchange of optional heads.
03
Yes. AWEA says the standard 4,000 rpm 2-step gear transmission can optionally be replaced with either a direct drive spindle or a built-in spindle, and that coolant through spindle is also available. The spec table on this page describes the standard build: 10 ~ 4,000 rpm vertical, 22 / 26 kW (30 / 35 HP), BT 50.
04
Y travel is 3,200 mm (126.0 in), the table is 2,400 mm (94.5 in) wide and the columns are 2,700 mm (106.3 in) apart. For wider work the MVP-7040 has 4,000 mm (157.5 in) of Y travel and 3,500 mm (137.8 in) between columns, with the same 7,000 mm (275.6 in) X travel.
