How much does the AWEA MVP-8032 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the AWEA MVP-8032 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The AWEA MVP-8032 is the longest five-face bridge machine AWEA builds on the 3,200 mm (126.0 in) Y frame, with 8,000 mm (315.0 in) of X travel and an 8,040 x 2,400 mm (316.5 x 94.5 in) table. A machine of this size is an installation project before it is a machining decision, so the service and weight figures deserve to be read first.
It weighs 95,000 kg (209,436 lb). The table adds up to 20,000 kg (44,092 lb) of workpiece on top of that. Electrical supply is AC 220 three-phase at 80 KVA, the same requirement as the smallest MVP, and air is 5 ~ 8 kg/cm². The coolant tank holds 750 L, the hydraulic tank 290 L and the lubrication tank 6 L. Hydraulics do a lot of work here: the cross rail is counterbalanced by a double hydraulic cylinder and clamped hydraulically once it is in position.
Compared with the MVP-7032, the extra X travel comes without a penalty in the listed figures. X rapid is 7.5 m/min (295 ipm) on both. Positioning accuracy of P = 0.040 mm and repeatability of P = 0.030 mm under VDI are also shared.
AWEA builds the bed, columns and cross rail as box structures and anneals them for a prolonged period. The spindle side is common to the series: BT 50, 22 / 26 kW (30 / 35 HP), 10 ~ 4,000 rpm vertical and 20 ~ 3,000 rpm horizontal, fed by a 60-tool magazine. One sibling stands apart on paper. The wider MVP-8040 is printed with a 25,000 kg (55,115 lb) table load, a 20 m/min (787 ipm) X rapid and a weight of 122,000 kg (268,959 lb).

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 8,000 mm (315.0 in) of X travel and an 8,040 x 2,400 mm (316.5 x 94.5 in) table
- Same VDI figures as the MVP-7032, P = 0.040 mm positioning and P = 0.030 mm repeatability, on a longer bed
- 80 KVA power requirement, no higher than on the MVP-4032
- Box-structure bed, columns and cross rail with a prolonged annealing process
- 20,000 kg (44,092 lb) table load
Limitations
- 95,000 kg (209,436 lb) machine weight, the heaviest of the 3,200 mm Y models
- X rapid of 7.5 m/min (295 ipm), half the 15 m/min (591 ipm) of the MVP-4032
- Coolant tank of 750 L; the 4,000 mm Y models such as the MVP-8040 carry 1,200 L
- Table load of 20,000 kg (44,092 lb), below the 25,000 kg (55,115 lb) printed for the MVP-8040

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Machine weight is 95,000 kg (209,436 lb). It needs AC 220 three-phase power at 80 KVA and air at 5 ~ 8 kg/cm². Fluids to plan for are 750 L of coolant, 290 L of hydraulic oil and 6 L of lubricant. The maximum table load of 20,000 kg (44,092 lb) is carried in addition to the machine's own weight.
02
Not in the listed figures. Both machines show P = 0.040 mm positioning accuracy over full travel and P = 0.030 mm repeatability under VDI, and ± 0.010 mm and ± 0.003 mm under JIS. AWEA fits a vibration damping mechanism to the X-axis ball screw on both.
03
The MVP-8040 has 4,000 mm (157.5 in) of Y travel, an 8,040 x 3,010 mm (316.5 x 118.5 in) table and 3,500 mm (137.8 in) between columns. The MVP-8040 sheet prints a 25,000 kg (55,115 lb) table load, a 20 m/min (787 ipm) X rapid and 122,000 kg (268,959 lb) of weight. The MVP-8032 is listed at 20,000 kg (44,092 lb), 7.5 m/min (295 ipm) and 95,000 kg (209,436 lb), with a faster Y rapid of 12 m/min (472 ipm).
04
AWEA's table gives the length as 8,040 mm (316.5 in) against 8,000 mm (315.0 in) of X travel, so the spindle covers nearly the whole table. The shorter models follow the same pattern: the MVP-7032 has a 7,020 mm (276.4 in) table on 7,000 mm (275.6 in) of travel.
