How much does the AWEA MCP-20060 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the AWEA MCP-20060 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
No MCP has a bigger table than the AWEA MCP-20060: 20,000 x 4,800 mm (787.4 x 189.0 in), served by 20,000 mm (787.4 in) of X travel and 6,400 mm (252.0 in) of Y. It is the top of the series in both directions at once.
Who needs it? AWEA says the series was designed for large work pieces in the aerospace, automotive and marine industries and is also employed by LCD and semiconductor manufacturers. In practice this size is for single parts that cannot be split: wing and fuselage tooling, hull sections, long machine beds, large vacuum chamber plates.
There is one larger envelope in AWEA's range, and it is a different trade. The LG-20070 has the same X travel with 7,000 mm (275.6 in) of Y and a 20,000 x 6,800 mm (787.4 x 267.7 in) table, and it moves at 20 m/min (787 ipm) in X. But the LG-20070 has 1,000 mm (39.4 in) of Z against 1,400 mm (55.1 in) here, with 1,600 mm optional on the MCP-20060. The spindle nose of the LG-20070 rises to 1,200 mm (47.2 in) rather than 2,200 mm (86.6 in). Tall parts belong on the MCP; the widest, flattest ones on the LG.
Within the MCP series, the MCP-20050 and MCP-20040 cut the table to 20,000 x 3,800 mm (787.4 x 149.6 in) and 20,000 x 2,800 mm (787.4 x 110.2 in). Taking the full width is justified only if parts use it.
Keeping two columns square over 20,000 mm is the hard part of such a machine. Dual linear scales on the X-axis handle it, according to the maker. Key components, it adds, are either made in-house or sourced from Europe and Japan.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Largest table in the MCP series: 20,000 x 4,800 mm (787.4 x 189.0 in)
- 20,000 mm (787.4 in) of X travel with 6,400 mm (252.0 in) of Y
- Z travel of 1,400 mm (55.1 in), 1,600 mm optional, where the LG-20070 has 1,000 mm (39.4 in)
- Dual linear scales on the X-axis against misalignment of the columns
- Same 80 kVA supply line as the shorter models of the group
Limitations
- Y travel of 6,400 mm (252.0 in) is less than the 7,000 mm (275.6 in) of the LG-20070
- X rapid of 10 m/min (394 ipm); the LG-20070 lists 20 m/min (787 ipm)
- No accuracy figure in the table, while the LG-20070 states P = 0.10 mm for X
- Table load and machine weight are not published
- No longer MCP exists if a part outgrows 20,000 mm

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The table is 20,000 x 4,800 mm (787.4 x 189.0 in), with 20,000 mm (787.4 in) of X travel, 6,400 mm (252.0 in) of Y and 1,400 mm (55.1 in) of Z. The spindle nose reaches 2,200 mm (86.6 in) above the table top. The columns are 5,700 mm apart, 5,500 mm with the X-axis covers. AWEA publishes no weight limit for the table.
02
Both travel 20,000 mm (787.4 in) in X. The LG-20070 is wider, with 7,000 mm (275.6 in) of Y and a 20,000 x 6,800 mm (787.4 x 267.7 in) table, and faster in X at 20 m/min (787 ipm). The MCP-20060 is taller: 1,400 mm (55.1 in) of Z against 1,000 mm (39.4 in) on the LG-20070, and a spindle nose range of 800 ~ 2,200 mm (31.5 ~ 86.6 in) against the LG-20070's 200 ~ 1,200 mm (7.9 ~ 47.2 in).
03
The maker names aerospace, automotive and marine as the industries whose large work pieces the series was designed for, and says it is also employed by LCD and semiconductor manufacturers. On the MCP-20060 the relevant parts are those that need most of a 20,000 mm table in one piece.
04
Two. The MCP-20050 has 5,400 mm (212.6 in) of Y travel and a 20,000 x 3,800 mm (787.4 x 149.6 in) table. The MCP-20040 has 4,400 mm (173.2 in) of Y and a 20,000 x 2,800 mm (787.4 x 110.2 in) table. The coolant tank is 4,000 liter on the MCP-20050 and 3,400 liter on the MCP-20040, against 5,400 liter on the MCP-20060.
05
AWEA states that key components are either made in-house or sourced from Europe and Japan, and that the attachment heads are in-house made. The specification table for the MCP-20060 does not name a control or a scale supplier, so those details need to be confirmed in the quotation.
