How much does the AWEA HTP-7033 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the AWEA HTP-7033 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The AWEA HTP-7033 stretches the 3,500 mm (137.8 in) HTP frame to 7,000 mm (275.6 in) of X travel. Y is 3,300 mm (129.9 in), Z is 1,000 mm (39.4 in) and the table measures 7,020 x 3,000 mm (276.4 x 118.1 in).
The step from six metres to seven is the biggest jump in mass anywhere in the series. This machine weighs 61,000 kg (134,480 lb); the HTP-6033 weighs 51,000 kg (112,434 lb). The table rating does not move with it. Both carry 20,000 kg (44,092 lb), so the added iron goes into the longer base and table, not into payload.
X rapid traverse drops to 7.5 m/min (295 ipm), the slowest value AWEA prints for an HTP, and cutting feed is 1 ~ 5 m/min (39 ~ 197 ipm). A full-length repositioning move therefore takes noticeably longer than on the shorter models, and programs with many end-to-end moves should be planned around it.
Accuracy runs against the usual pattern. The table gives P ≤ 0.040 mm over full travel and Ps ≤ 0.030 mm under VDI for the HTP-7033, tighter than the P ≤ 0.050 mm and Ps ≤ 0.035 mm of the HTP-6033. AWEA's HTP pages describe a semi-closed loop system with encoders on the ball screws and do not explain the difference, so confirm the figure and the feedback hardware when quoting.
Spindle, taper and magazine are common to the series: 4,000 rpm gear drive, BBT50 (ISO 50), 32 T.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 7,000 mm (275.6 in) of X travel with a 7,020 x 3,000 mm (276.4 x 118.1 in) table
- VDI accuracy of P ≤ 0.040 mm over full travel, tighter than the figure listed for the HTP-6033
- 20,000 kg (44,092 lb) table load
- 4 guideways on the base under the table, which AWEA says reduces work table overhang
- 1,050 liter coolant tank with two coil type chip augers and a caterpillar type chip conveyor as standard
Limitations
- X rapid traverse of 7.5 m/min (295 ipm), the slowest in the series
- 61,000 kg (134,480 lb) machine weight, against 51,000 kg (112,434 lb) for the HTP-6033
- Table load does not rise above the 20,000 kg (44,092 lb) of the HTP-6033
- Cutting feed capped at 1 ~ 5 m/min (39 ~ 197 ipm)

Frequently Asked Questions
01
61,000 kg (134,480 lb), before a workpiece of up to 20,000 kg (44,092 lb). Foundation design, crane capacity and transport sections should be settled with AWEA before the order, because this is a clear step above the 51,000 kg (112,434 lb) HTP-6033.
02
X rapid traverse is 7.5 m/min (295 ipm). Y and Z rapids are 12 m/min (472 ipm). Cutting feed is 1 ~ 5 m/min (39 ~ 197 ipm). The HTP-7041 has the same X figure but 10 m/min (394 ipm) on Y and Z.
03
On paper. AWEA's table prints P ≤ 0.040 mm over full travel and Ps ≤ 0.030 mm for the HTP-7033, and P ≤ 0.050 mm and Ps ≤ 0.035 mm for the HTP-6033, both under VDI. The JIS rows are the same for the two: ± 0.015 mm and ± 0.003 mm. The feature pages give no reason, so ask the maker.
04
Both have 7,000 mm (275.6 in) of X and 3,300 mm (129.9 in) of Y. The LP-7033 lists a 7,020 x 2,400 mm (276.4 x 94.5 in) table, 760 mm (29.9 in) of Z and 66,000 kg (145,503 lb). The HTP-7033 lists a 7,020 x 3,000 mm (276.4 x 118.1 in) table, 1,000 mm (39.4 in) of Z and 61,000 kg (134,480 lb).
