How much does the Sugino CNCPRO PRO-407L / PRO-607L cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Sugino CNCPRO PRO-407L / PRO-607L that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Sugino CNCPRO PRO-407L / PRO-607L is the long stroke CNCPRO: the same #25 turret drilling and tapping center with the X axis stretched to 560 mm (22.0 in). Y and Z stay at 200 mm (7.9 in) each. The table grows to 600 × 250 mm, the machine to 1,100 mm in width, and the weight to 1,100 kg (2,425 lb).
Compared with the CNCPRO PRO-407 / PRO-607, which has 240 mm (9.4 in) of X in a 750 mm wide body, the long stroke machine trades floor width for reach along rails, bars, extrusions and manifold-style parts, or to hold several small parts in a row. Length and height do not change. Positioning accuracy does: the maker's table gives 0.015 mm for the long stroke against 0.010 mm in full travel otherwise, with repeatability of ±0.005 mm.
The cutting side is identical to the standard machine. A 4-spindle or 6-spindle turret head, BT25 front clamp tooling, a 0.4 sec cam index, and a spindle motor of 0.75 kW for 10 min. and 0.4 kW continuous. Spindle speed is 100 to 8,000 rpm as standard and 100 to 12,000 rpm in the high speed version. Sugino quotes drilling capacity up to 12 mm diameter in aluminum and 8 mm in steel.
Nothing here is meant for milling a face or pocket of any size. Tools top out at 1.2 kg and 160 mm in length, and the chuck holds φ0.5 to φ13 mm. Sugino describes the CNCPRO as selecting only the functions required for drilling and tapping and calls it an ideal machine for deburring. Supply is 3 kVA at AC 200V. The table gives no clean allowable load figure for the long stroke models, so ask Sugino before planning a heavy fixture.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 560 mm (22.0 in) of X travel on a 600 × 250 mm table
- Still a narrow machine at 1,100 mm wide and 1,100 kg (2,425 lb)
- Turret head indexes in 0.4 sec with an all cam index
- 3 kVA power supply, with no hydraulic power required according to the maker
- Rapid traverse of 30 m/min (1,181 ipm) and cutting feed from 10 to 12,000 mm/min
Limitations
- Positioning accuracy is 0.015 mm on the long stroke models
- Y and Z travel remain 200 mm (7.9 in) each, so only the length of the part grows
- Spindle motor is 0.75 kW for 10 min. and 0.4 kW continuous
- Tools are limited to 1.2 kg, 160 mm in length and a φ13 mm chuck capacity
- The table for this model gives no clean allowable load figure

Frequently Asked Questions
01
In X travel, table and width. The long stroke models have 560 mm (22.0 in) of X and a 600 × 250 mm table in a 1,100 mm wide machine. The CNCPRO PRO-407 / PRO-607 has 240 mm (9.4 in) of X and a 350 × 250 mm table in a 750 mm wide machine. Spindle, turret head and tooling are the same.
02
Only the turret head. The PRO-407L is the 4-spindle type and the PRO-607L is the 6-spindle type. Both share one column in the maker's table for travels, table size, dimensions and weight, and every other row is common to the whole CNCPRO range.
03
The positioning row reads 0.010 mm in full travel and 0.015 mm for the long stroke, so 0.015 mm is the figure for these models. Repeatability is ±0.005 mm and the minimum programmable unit is 0.001 mm.
04
A BT25 front clamp turret spindle driven by a motor rated 0.75 kW for 10 min. and 0.4 kW continuous. Standard speed range is 100 to 8,000 rpm, and the high speed version runs from 100 to 12,000 rpm. Maximum tool weight is 1.2 kg.
05
It measures 1,100 × 1,635 × 2,100 mm (43.3 × 64.4 × 82.7 in) in width, length and height and weighs 1,100 kg (2,425 lb). The distance from table surface to spindle nose is 230 to 430 mm, the same as on the standard stroke machine.
