Overview

Six metres by three: the AWEA HTP-6033 has a 6,020 x 3,000 mm (237.0 x 118.1 in) table, 6,000 mm (236.2 in) of X travel and 3,300 mm (129.9 in) of Y. It takes 20,000 kg (44,092 lb) on the table and weighs 51,000 kg (112,434 lb) itself.

A part that fills such a table is rarely turned over for the sake of one side face. That is the case for the options AWEA groups under multi-face machining. An automatic head changer stores one cover and one 90° head in two compartments attached to the column, behind a door that opens only during a head exchange. With options, yes. AWEA offers an automatic head changer whose two storage compartments hold one cover and one 90° head, and a vertical / horizontal ATC system for tool changes in both orientations. The standard machine has a vertical spindle only. Slanted angle milling needs a universal head, which must be ordered.

02 Where is the head changer of the HTP-6033 installed?

On the column. AWEA says attaching the head changing system there reduces floor space. The head magazine has its own automatic door, which opens only during head exchanges to keep chips and coolant out.
