Overview

Two spindles and one plain turret make the Accuway UT-300S a machine for turning both ends of a part without an operator turning it round. The second spindle rides on a B axis with 700 mm (27.6 in) of travel and takes the part from the main chuck; the table has no tailstock rows.

The two spindles are deliberately unequal. Spindle 1 uses the UT-300 columns, A2-8 or A2-11, chucks of 10 to 15 in, bar capacity from 75 mm (3.0 in) to 116.5 mm (4.6 in), and a 15/18.5 kW (20.1/24.8 hp) motor.
