Overview

A long bed with a second spindle in place of the tailstock: the Accuway UT-300LS. Z travel is 1,250 mm (49.2 in) and the B axis that carries spindle 2 moves 1,200 mm (47.2 in), so the second chuck can meet the first or stand more than a metre away from it.

That range gives the machine two uses. With the spindles close together it works like the UT-300S, transferring flanges and bar parts for back-side turning. With them apart, a longer part can be gripped at both ends and driven from the main spindle, which the table supports with a turning length of 1,110 mm (43.7 in) in the A2-8 columns and 1,040 mm (40.9 in) in the A2-11 columns.
