Overview
Rotary tools at 6,000 rpm on a 12-station servo turret turn the basic UT-200 into the Accuway UT-200M. The tooling system is listed as BMT/VDI, the turret drive as Servo mechanical, and the rotary tool motor as 3.7/5.5 kW (5.0/7.4 hp). There is no Y axis, so milling is done on centre with X, Z and the spindle.
The driven turret costs some envelope. Maximum turning diameter is 260 mm (10.2 in), against 300 mm (11.8 in) on the UT-200, and maximum turning length is 450 mm (17.7 in), or 370 mm (14.6 in) with the largest spindle. Travels are unchanged at 220 mm (8.7 in) in X and 600 mm (23.6 in) in Z.
Spindle choice is the same four-column list as on the turning-only model. From small to large: A2-5, 6 in chuck, 44 mm (1.7 in) bar, 6,000 rpm; A2-6, 8 in, 52 mm (2.0 in), 4,500 rpm; A2-6, 8 in, 65 mm (2.6 in), 4,000 rpm; A2-8, 10 in, 75 mm (3.0 in), 3,500 rpm. Power is 11/15 kW (14.8/20.1 hp), with 15/18.5 kW (20.1/24.8 hp) in brackets.
Unlike the UT-200, where station count varies with the spindle, every column here has 12 stations with 20 mm (0.8 in) square and 32 mm (1.3 in) round shanks. The rotary tool holders themselves, 0 degree and 90 degree, are on the optional accessories list, so budget for them. Weight is 3,600 kg (7,937 lb), and the tailstock has an MT#4 quill.
