AccuteX GA-43

The GA-43 is the base model of AccuteX's GA series, which the maker calls its general wire cut EDM. Travels are 400 mm (15.7 in) in X, 300 mm (11.8 in) in Y and 220 mm (8.7 in) in Z, and the machine weighs 2,800 kg (6,173 lb), the lightest wire EDM in the AccuteX range.

Read the accessory lists closely, because the GA is sold as a platform. The standard list is short: the SD Master board, a manual sliding door, flushing nozzles, diamond guides, filters and jigs. Nearly everything else is an option, including Auto Wire Threading (AWT), the water chiller, the XY axes linear motor, a 0.2μm Resolution Linear Scale, Anti-Collision on Z-Axis, the safety door interlock and the machine status indicator. AccuteX explains its own suffixes on the page: "A" stands for the AWT option and "L" for the linear motor option. A GA-43 quoted without those letters is the plain machine.

The working figures are modest next to the AL-400SA, which shares the X and Y travel. U and V travel is 60 mm (2.4 in) and the maximum cutting taper ±15° / H80 mm, where the AL-400SA has 100 x 100 mm (3.9 x 3.9 in) and ±21° (H=100). AccuteX lists the maximum height of cutting workpiece as 175 mm (6.9 in), although the Z stroke is 220 mm (8.7 in) and the workpiece envelope is 880 x 630 x 215 mm (34.6 x 24.8 x 8.5 in).

It is a low machine as well. The footprint is 2,200 x 2,570 x 1,995 mm (86.6 x 101.2 x 78.5 in), so it fits under ceilings that rule out taller models. AccuteX describes the series as suited to punch and die cutting.
