Overview
At 750 mm (29.5 in) by 500 mm (19.7 in), the AL-750SA is the largest of AccuteX's AL-series wire EDMs. The Z stroke is 300 mm (11.8 in), the same as the two mid-size AL models, so this machine adds plate area, not height. It accepts workpieces up to 1,190 x 720 x 295 mm (46.9 x 28.3 x 11.6 in) and 750 kg (1,653 lb).
Size brings weight and water. The AL-750SA weighs 4,300 kg (9,480 lb) and its water system holds 1,060 L, on a footprint of 3,000 x 3,200 x 2,250 mm (118.1 x 126.0 x 88.6 in). Plan the floor around the filled machine and the loaded table together.
AccuteX also lists the AU-750iA with identical X, Y and Z travels and the same 4,300 kg (9,480 lb) machine weight. The two differ in the details. The AU-750iA takes an 800 kg (1,764 lb) workpiece, a 16 kg (35 lb) wire spool and has a 1,240 L water system. The AL-750SA takes 750 kg (1,653 lb) and a 10 kg (22 lb) spool, and its page lists Auto Wire Threading (AWT), a water chiller and the SD Master board as standard accessories.
One option differs from the smaller AL models. AccuteX's optional list names MST for the AL-400SA, 500SA, 560SA and 600SA, and this model is not in that list.
