Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Vision Wide MS-3120 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
On the Vision Wide MS-3120 the upper guide of the Y axis is placed on top of the beam. Vision Wide describes the Y-axis upper roller way as positioned on the top of the beam at maximum span, for strong support.
The span in question is the vertical distance between the two Y guideways. The saddle that carries the head is held by an upper and a lower way, and the cutting force at the tool tries to rock it about them. The further apart the ways are, the smaller the force each has to resist and the less the tool point moves. Putting the upper way on the top face of the beam, not on its front, is how the designer gets the greatest spacing the beam section allows.
That support matters more as the beam lengthens. This model has 2,000 mm (78.7 in) of Y travel and 3,100 mm (122.0 in) of X, over a 3,000x1,800 mm (118.1x70.9 in) table rated for 10,000 kg (22,046 lb).
The spindle is a 6,000rpm 2-step gear type, 18.5/22 kW (24.8/29.5 hp), on a box way Z axis. Rapid traverse is 24 m/min in X and Y. Like the other MS models it is a milling machine first: the magazine with arm type ATC is an option.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Y-axis upper roller way on top of the beam at maximum span
- 3,000x1,800 mm (118.1x70.9 in) table for 10,000 kg (22,046 lb)
- 24 m/min rapids in X and Y
- Geared 6,000rpm spindle on a box way Z axis
Limitations
- No stiffness figure accompanies the structural description
- Tool magazine is optional
- Y travel of 2,000 mm (78.7 in) is the limit without a wider frame

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Vision Wide says the Y-axis upper roller way is positioned on the top of the beam at a maximum span design that offers strong support. The X and Y axes both run on heavy duty roller ways.
02
The table is 3,000x1,800 mm (118.1x70.9 in) for 10,000 kg (22,046 lb). X travel is 3,100 mm (122.0 in) and Y travel 2,000 mm (78.7 in).
03
800 mm as standard. The option list has Z axis travel 1,020mm on the box way spindle head, for AC head attachment, and 1,000mm on the linear way spindle head.
