Three MS models share this table length and load, and they form a simple ladder. The MS-3120 has 2,000 mm (78.7 in) of Y and the same table; its table lists a vertical type tool change and the linear way spindle options. The MS-3123 has 2,300 mm (90.6 in) of Y over a narrower 3,000x1,500 mm (118.1x59.1 in) table. This model combines the wider table with the longest Y.
So the MS-3127 is the pick when the part is both wide and in need of side access. A gearbox housing or a machine column that fills the table can have its top milled, then its long sides, without being moved.
