How much does the Vision Wide GSF-2232 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Vision Wide GSF-2232 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The wide frame of the GSF series begins with the Vision Wide GSF-2232, which spans 3,200 mm (126.0 in) in Y on a gantry stroke of 2,200 mm (86.6 in). Its fixed table measures 2,200 x 3,200 mm (86.6 x 126.0 in).
A five-axis head needs room around the part as well as over it. When the spindle tilts to cut a side wall, the head body swings outward, and the linear axes must travel beyond the part edge to keep the tool tip where it belongs. So a part that just fits the table in three-axis terms may not be reachable on all sides in five. The extra cross travel of this frame, compared with the 2,700 mm (106.3 in) of the GSF-2227, is partly bigger parts and partly that working margin.
Vision Wide publishes neither the swivel range of the B axis nor the length of the head from pivot to spindle nose. Both are needed to work out the reachable envelope for a tilted tool, and a buyer with a specific part should ask for a collision study.
The head holds a 50/65 kW (67.1/87.2 hp) built-in spindle at 15,000 rpm. Table load is 3,000 kg/m2. Rapids are 32 m/min in X and Y and 20 m/min in Z.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 3,200 mm (126.0 in) of Y travel gives margin for a tilted five-axis head
- 2,200 x 3,200 mm (86.6 x 126.0 in) fixed table at 3,000 kg/m2
- 50/65 kW (67.1/87.2 hp) built-in spindle at 15,000 rpm
- Short gantry stroke keeps the machine compact in X
Limitations
- B-axis swivel range and head pivot length are not published
- X travel of 2,200 mm (86.6 in) is the shortest on the wide frame
- Z travel of 1,000/1,200 mm (39.4/47.2 in)

Frequently Asked Questions
01
2,200 mm (86.6 in) in X, 3,200 mm (126.0 in) in Y and 1,000/1,200 mm (39.4/47.2 in) in Z. The table measures 2,200 x 3,200 mm (86.6 x 126.0 in).
02
The page does not give the B or C axis ranges. It states that the built-in spindle is direct-driven on the B and C axes with a rotation positioning accuracy of ±5 arc-seconds. Ask Vision Wide for the swivel range and head dimensions.
03
The GSF-2227 has 2,700 mm (106.3 in) of Y travel and a 2,200 x 2,700 mm (86.6 x 106.3 in) table. The GSF-2232 has 3,200 mm (126.0 in) of Y and a 2,200 x 3,200 mm (86.6 x 126.0 in) table. Other rows match.
04
3,000 kg/m2, stated per square metre of the 2,200 x 3,200 mm (86.6 x 126.0 in) table. Because the table is fixed, the load does not affect how the axes move.
